This is completely natural. You could always do this, you were just never aware of it before. You are feeling energy. Energy follows thought. Your hands and feet are "energy exchange ports" and so usually felt there easiest for someone new to energy work.

Thanks for the reply.  I'm sure I never did this before the experience, and it wasn't something I was deliberately trying.  I just remember it starting to occur a few days after the experience, so I wondered whether I had opened up anything.

I have to admit to a healthy degree of skepticism when talking about "energy" and other such topics (although I'm open-minded enough to admit the possibility), so I am half inclined to think it could just be a version of "pins and needles".

Body energy is very real and this can easily be proven by looking at the Chinese who have known about it for thousands of years. This is the basis of their acupuncture and acupressure techniques. And are we not even taught in school that our nervous system runs on electrical impulses, which is energy? The West just has yet to explore body energy to the degree of the Eastern societies. But a little skepticism is healthy as long as you keep an open mind before you make any decisions. There is no reason why a healthy person would feel pins and needles by just thinking about a part of their body. That has to do with restricted blood flow.

   I think that type of thing is very common....I first became a little interested in energy development about 4 years ago and was introduced to it by a fairly knowledgable guy....(although his belief system was strongly wiccan which kind of slowed my interest at the time)  Anyway, he had me do a few simple exercises and much to my surprise most anytime following that when I would think about my hands and energy I would get the same tingle or charge you talk about.
   I think it is our increased awareness of our energy body that causes this easy reaction, and that our hands are energy exchange ports as Fallnangel77 stated.

Hi all,

I had a fairly strong vibration sensation over my whole body once when trying one of the astral projection techniques in Astral Dynamics, although I aborted the attempt as it was the first time and pretty scary.

However, ever since then I seem to be able to "charge up" my hands just by thinking about them.  I'm positive I couldn't do this before, at least I don't ever remember doing it.  When I let my arms hang down by my sides and think about my hands, it is as if an electrical charge starts to build up on them.  It becomes even more noticeable if I touch the palms against each other or another object.

Has anyone experienced anything similar?  Is this my energy body or something more down-to-earth?
