Reiki!

I get this done once a week. It's amazing. Have any of you done reiki? My session this morning I actually got a spinning sensation when she was working on my head. This usually only happens when attempting to have an OOBE. It was pretty intense.It really makes me feel pure and refreshed after the session.

I do reiki all the time I'm a reiki practitioner! I just sent reiki energy to my friend in the hospital (he got into am accident) and he's recovering so fast it's crazy!

Could you do a brief description of what reiki is and what it can help with for anyone who may not know?

Hey Szaxx! I just saw this. Reiki is like chakra surgery. It's along the lines of acupuncture but it has no needles. They just unblock your energy centers and when you are done you feel so refreshed. I'm not a practitioner but I might even take a class on it.

I must of misread the post. You practice it then.
It sounds similar to acupressure. I'm familiar with that and use it on myself occasionally.
The pain level diminishes greatly if you manage to get the exact locations targetted.
Good stuff for large splinters and ripping a thmbnail in half. Yeah that was messy, but it worked, thats after doing a dance and saying how pleasant I was feeling.
I'll look into it, sounds interesting.

How do you know if someone knows what they are doing? I was planning on getting Reiki done soon but it's 60 dollars for an hour and I don't know what it entails. Could someone shed some light on what actually takes place? To my understanding, it's energy healing and there is no physical interaction.

I believe you can ask their background and training, but honestly, save your money.  It's not exactly a scam, but it's also something you can do yourself FOR yourself... for free.   LoL
