Energy is Energy.  Try drawing a Storm's energy down into your Crown Chakra at the same time you draw Earth Energy up through your feet, good for the most interesting sensations!

The only drawback to what you describe is of course working with the Crown Chakra first.  Typically it is the last to open when learning to meditate.  I can think of some problems if you have a major blockage, but then that goes for NEW as well.

Are you specifically trying to activate 2 Chakras and not the others, or are those 2 stuck.  I don't understand why you need to activate Crown/Heart with a technique???

According to RB, the energy drawn from the feet is more coarse than the energy drawn from the hands.  Likewise, there is more refinement in the energy drawn in by breathing than that of the hands.  By a logical extension the type of energy drawn in from the crown chakra should be more subtle than the rest.  My real concern is do we need to draw energy from everywhere?  Will the energy received from doing for example the twin hearts meditation be any different, as far as results, than the one obtained from drawing in energy from the feet or hands?  Do I need them both?

Do you have a need for subtle refined energies?  Different sources do have different feelings, but it all spends the same.  Your Chakras are energy convertors, using what you've stored or are drawing in to do and power other things and each other.  With practice you can draw in or push out power from about anywhere, litterally.

I personally like to pull it in from my feet, then hands.  Once I feel charged, I open my Chakra's all the way.  From that point I pull in power from everwhere at once.  Once I start pushing out, I try and do a push-pull at the same time.  Say for healing I'll try and pull power in all over while projecting from the Heart Chakra.

Subtle differences in energies to the heart, and the back-heart to a lesser degree, can cause death. Reffering to refinement, the analogy is similar to comparing atomized dust in a silica supplement to marbles. Though this is not necessarily to scale, if the marbles get through your skin, you may be very unlucky! Also, once the energy globules are refinined enough to be assimilated, seemingly arbitrary combinations of frequencies cause very adverse reactions.

All chi is made of the same material, but it does NOT spend the same.

Hello Everyone,

I was reading recently an article on the Twin Hearts Meditation and I found that it made a claim of being able to activate the Heart and Crown chakras.  It accomplishes this by focusing on loving kindness towards the earth etc.  Allegedly, the energy comes down through the crown chakra and into all the other parts of your body.

I was wondering if this type of energy is the same one as the one used in NEW.  New also claims to activate the chakras by the energy is drawn from the feet up.  Does the Twin Hearts and NEW ultimately have the same effect?

I'd appreciate any comments on this.
