You have a very destructive view of our planet...

I have a realistic view of the world.

It was the "Positive Thinking" and Optimistic attitude of Industrial Society which has led to the destruction of biodiversity and ecosystems......When you have such an attitude you keep moving in the wrong direction forever without rectifying your mistakes.

It was claimed that Science, Technology and Industrialization would solve all problems and bring paradise on earth, whereas the reality is Science, Technology and Industrialization have destroyed the entire planet.

All problems of Industrial Society are unsolvable because Industrialization itself is the cause of problems.....Exponential increase in environmental destruction, incidence of cancer, obesity and war/ violence.......Industrialization is the cause of all these problems.

It is important to understand why millions of people are trying to solve all these problems when they can never be solved.

Here is the answer - Billions of people who are not producing food in Industrial Society have to be kept engaged in some work or activity....People would go crazy without work....Therefore unnecessary, meaningless, futile and destructive jobs and professions are created by Industrial Society to keep the Urban Population occupied.

In Hunter_Gatherer Society the entire population was engaged in searching for food.....In Agrarian Society almost the entire population was engaged in producing food [hardly 1 - 2% of population was not producing food].

In Industrial Society 50% of world population is growing food for entire population.....The remaining 50% population is engaged in extra, destructive and unnecessary work....[In America only 5% of population is producing food, That is why America is the Mother of all unnecessary and destructive work in this world].

The population that does not produce food is engaged in Production and Marketing of thousands of consumer goods and services, Tourism Industry, Entertainment Industry, Sports Industry, Military Industrial Complex and All kinds of unnecessary research.

Millions of people are doing unnecessary, meaningless and futile research in Industrial Society in hundreds of fields.

Millions of people in Industrial Society are trying to save Environment which is not possible because Industrial Activity itself is the cause of large scale environmental destruction.

Millions of people in Industrial Society are trying to cure Obesity which is impossible because Obesity is a result of Industrialization.....A result of the switch over from physical work to mental work and easy availability of billions of tonnes of ready-made food.

Millions of people in Industrial Society are trying to cure Cancer which is not possible because Industrialization itself is the cause of cancer.....Industrial Activity has contaminated air, water and soil with billions of tonnes of solid, liquid and gaseous carcinogens.

Millions of people in Industrial Society are working with Peace Organizations trying to make the world peaceful.....This is an impossibility because Military Industrial Complex is promoting war and violence by producing and selling billions of tonnes of weapons all over the world.

Hundreds of professions and millions of jobs have been created in the name of solving the problems of Industrial Society.

The solutions will of course never come because Industrialization itself is the cause of problems.

Millions of people are happy because they are getting jobs and salaries......Governments are happy because they can claim they are doing all they can to solve global problems.

Meanwhile the problems continue getting bigger and bigger day by day, moment by moment.

Industrialization was the biggest crime on earth....The biggest act of killing, murder and terrorism on earth.

This planet can only sustain "Food Searching" or "Food Producing" Societies.

Hunter_Gatherer Society was sustainable.....Agrarian Society was sustainable.....The question of Industrial Society being sustainable doesn't arise.

We cannot save environment by destroying more of it.....We cannot save environment by destroying it for thousands of consumer goods and services in addition to food, clothing and shelter.

Dude... your figures are leaning very far towards a glass half empty way of thinking and are very exaggerated to say the least.

For a start you are obviously happy to use a device that has been the culmination of human industrialisation and endeavour; the integrated circuit chip and internet.

You're also just listing off things and not particularly doing anything about it.

Read 'Revenge of Gia' by James Lovelock and 'Spontaneous Evolution' by Bruce Lipton. Both of these books outline the points you are making but instead of just wining and moaning about it they look at ways to improve our relationship with Mother Earth and with each other as a whole.

There is no point in what you are doing at the moment. At the moment you are the guy walking about on street corner wearing the double sided billboard with "THE END IS NIGH" printed on it.

A realistic view isn't shouting that the building is on fire and that we are all going to die... a realistic view is to be the one to lead everybody safely away from the fire. You aren't doing a very good job at the moment... we are all doing our thing rolling our eyes at the 'doom sayer' while the building could catch fire.

When the US invaded Afghanistan it had boasted "We are going to smoke them out".

Ten years later , after trying out all permutations and combinations the "Coalition of Willing" is holding talks with the "Good Taliban" and desperately searching for the "Exit Door".

It is not easy to find solutions once you have created a mess.

The Afghanistan / Taliban problem is only a few decades old.....The problem of environmental destruction is millions of times bigger than the problem of Afghanistan.....Billions of people have travelled in the wrong direction for 250 years after Industrial Revolution destroying biodiversity and ecosystems moment by moment.

A person is being shot 100 times......Some people are supposed to save the victim.....They do nothing till 99 bullets have hit the victim.....When the last bullet is about to be fired they rush to save the victim, who is already dead by then.

Industrial Activity has been destroying Biodiversity and Ecosystems for 250 years.....Industrial Society should not have been started in the first place.....Once it came into existence its harmful impact on environment should have alerted people and they should have tried to stop Industrial Activity in the early stages.....If people had tried to stop Industrial Activity 50 years or even 100 years after it began, environment could have been saved because most of the environmental destruction has taken place in the last 50 - 100 years when the rate of Industrialization and Consumerism rose exponentially.....Trying to save environment after 250 years of Industrial Activity is like trying to revive a dead man.....There is hardly any environment left to save.

It may not be all that bad. I work with, er, wires. Years ago it was all profit. Today ALL the companies and large organisations absolutely insist on recycling and an absolute minimum of waste. This includes the carbon footprint and all.
However one professor has given freely a circuit that may change the way electricity is utilised in operations and generation.
Its NOT for profit and he insists this fact. With the correct environment it may be capable of powering itself indefinitely. A large unit that functions as required would help the atmosphere from zero emissions.
Its certainly his christmas gift to the world.

Celebrate Diwali, Christmas, New Year and Hundreds of other Festivals!!!!.....Go Shopping.....Spend Money.....Buy Gifts....Buy thousands of consumer goods and services.....Promote and Accelerate Industrial Activity which will kill even more Biodiversity and Ecosystems.

And then wait for next year to celebrate the death of nature once more.

 A famous case in NDEs named Mellen-Thomas Benedict died of Cancer in a Hospital. About 45 minutes later he came back to life and spread his story. The way to save environment today is the way it was saved for millions of years.

Millions of animal species saved environment for millions of years by destroying it only for food.

Hunter_Gatherer Society saved environment for about 1 million years by destroying it only for food.

Agrarian Society destroyed very little environment (compared to Industrial Society) for 10,000 years because it destroyed environment only for food, clothing and shelter.

Industrial Society has destroyed most of the biodiversity and ecosystems in just 250 years because it destroyed environment for thousands of consumer goods and services in addition to food, clothing and shelter.

It is crystal clear that Industrial Activity for production of thousands of consumer goods and services must be stopped for saving environment.

This is incredibly interesting Szaxx. thank you for this.

In the mall this year I wanted to pay particular attention to people walking by. Every year for the past 10 years now, we have been in the mall for a month and a half at Christmas time to work our Kiosk. I usually see small changes in the way people act from year to year. This year it was huge changes.

Most of the people we saw on a daily basis seemed to be "distracted". They seemed to be shopping because they "had" to, not because they "wanted" to.

The younger teens and kids were always and I mean always on their cellphones. We would watch people that got a 5 minute cigarette break go out and the entire time they were talking on the phone.

My neighbor beside our Kiosk, got a new phone for Christmas and almost lost her mind because she couldn't activate it fast enough.

I saw this same reaction years ago when I tried to help a number of people that were addicted to Cocaine and Heroin.

Is this the new drug? These people seem to need to get their fix. Even worse is, do the the cellphone companies know this? These people are so distracted they don't know or even see what's going on around them anymore. Are they hooked?

Every year when MJ and I go to Amana Colonies, Iowa, we see a friend of ours that is a Beekeeper. Last year he had a couple of University researchers in the area undergoing studies on what is killing the bees in that area. They were looking at Pesticides or Herbicides as being the cause. But then found a number of areas where the farming community did not allow pesticides/herbicides and still the same problem with bees dying existed. This baffled them. But I never once heard of them saying the possible cause may be Cellphone Towers.

Serious Research should be undergone on this immediately. But then again, I'm sure the real Truth would be suppressed or just like with the Oil fields and fracking, that they would say they weighed the pros and cons and found that we need the Cellphone towers too much.

I watched a 3 hour show on Oil Fracking in North Dakota. They, the Oil Companies, realized they were digging into the Yellowstone Caldera (Super-Volcano), but said they weighed the pros and cons of that decision. I laughed because the pros were, we would have enough oil and the prices wouldn't go up. The cons were they would accidentally cause the Yellowstone Caldera to blow and the entire World would be in darkness for 10 years. Everything would die and be wiped out.

This RF microwaves to the brain has always been a concern to me. I have papers in this field and have NEVER accepted continuous use of cellphones as safe. I have had radiation burns on one occasion from a transmitter which looked identical to those from a radio active compound. Taking the appropriate steps via professional advice everything cleared successfully. My exposure time was less than one second.
Accidents do happen...
My cell phone has all external leads fitted with a RF filter. These are clup on units like those found on computer cables. These are required by law to pass worldwide emission directives.
The bee problem has the possibility of global food shortages and this itself dictates severe problems.

I don't think people are necessarily addicted to phones, but addicted to being fed media and gossip all the time. People's minds are never still, and as the number of sources of entertainment and media goes up, the more people's minds race to those things whenever they get a small moment. I also think that many people are very afraid of being alone, which is another reason people stay constantly "connected".

If I don't turn my wi-fi off before I go to bed, I won't sleep very deep and have nonsensical, random, cyclical dreams all night that drive me mad. I had my wi-fi for about 6 months before I figured it out - they stopped as soon as I began killing my modem before bed. I did research on it and couldn't find anything. Over the holidays I was staying at someone else's house and their wi-fi (which was close to my bed) did the same thing. I keep in mind it may just be in my head, because I can't come across anyone else who's reported a similar issue.

I've been suffering from migraine headaches since I was 10. I'm 34 now. But i did actually notice a decrease in their severity but not in their frequency when I use a cell often. I'm not a big talker on the phone but It's hard to get around.

Emotions and technology aside, the premise of this idea was/is destined to fail. Man has evolved to only react to immediate threats. Sure we can recognize long term dangers and even take some action but the need to deal with the T-REX lurking outside the cave has to be dealt with now or tomorrow won't matter.

The problem is that there is always another T-REX to deal with. This need has served us so well that it has to be considered as a evolutionary trait.

If Urban Society stops all its supplies to Villages......electricity, oil, machinery, equipment and consumer goods, Villagers will survive forever.

If Villages stop all their supplies to Cities......Food Grains and Vegetables, Urban Population will die within a month.

[ Villagers need Electricity, Oil, Machinery and Equipment to produce food for the Urban Population , They would not need these things to produce food for themselves]

Industrial Activity for production of thousands of consumer goods and services must stop immediately....Millions of other species get only food from earth....The maximum that man can/ should get is food, clothing and shelter.

This planet can only sustain "Food Searching" or "Food Producing" societies....For millions of years "searching for food"/ "producing food" was the primary occupation on earth.

The whole society needs to be reorganized...Urban Dwellers have to be relocated in Rural Areas....Urban Dwellers have to either transform into full time food producers or they have to stop working in order to save the remaining environment from destructive Urban Work....They can be given food for free in order to save the remaining environment from destructive Urban Work.

Eventually nature will remove the earth from existence. 

While it is a better option as a whole specie to preserve that which nourishes and provides for the sustenance and survival of the body,  our education as said specie has traveled a particular path which has unfolded in the manner that it has and that path does not look good for the bulk of human beings as we consume our way through the resources.

However, consciousness works with what it has and there is every reason to understand that it will continue regardless of human consumerism.
