what-a-loud of nonsense!
still, no answer? you do not know, right?
(still no Energies from hipothetical/pathetical "which"?)

you just want to talk. but you know nothing.
how sad.[:(]

and what are those Swords made of? Intention?
realy?

Tisha

ummmmmmmmmm ...... those of you who treat your altar tools as SYMBOLS of things you do/are, and don't worry about what others think of them, good for you! The party is around the corner, come this way!

In fact, my altar sword isn't even a real sword.  It's a beautiful, gold filligreed, miniature spanish conquistador sword, meant to be used as a letter-opener.  Since it is not allowed to draw blood anyway, it's perfect for it's job as SYMBOL.  Like my crystal wand, it lies there and looks grand.

As for my REAL magical blade, it's not fancy at all, it is NOT on my altar, and it is used to CUT.

As for my finger-wand, it directs my fire.  That is all . . . if folks want to do other things with their wands, that's just fine with me . . . in fact, if they wish, they may conduct an orchestra with it!

it ryhmes!

there is no difference between magic sword and a sword made for
killing.
those for killing are even better!

KoolGZe

Tisha I didn't say it had to be fancy [:P] Anything that can be magnetized and has a sharp tip works. I even have a book here that has instructions on how to make a 2 in 1  using a cane.

My dear Azaithoth, if there were no difference, you would not differentiate as to which is better!  In either case, you play too much with your sword.  All this talk of kill, kill, kill, BLAH BLAH BLAH.  You need a new hobby.  I suggest you find yourself a fierce, beautiful girlfriend and practice some POLARITY MAGIC!!!!!!!!!! [:D]In other words, get out of your apartment and go use your wand!  Report back to us old folks with some good poetry. [;)]

tsk tsk
The answer is there for anyone with a rudimentary grasp of English, Elementary comprehension, and a Will to communicate.
[8D]
Go look up "goad" in your Icelandic/English dictionary, Red, and try to understand that some of us are adults, not children, and don't need tinkling contests to prove anything to anyone, especially such as you are proving to be.
[:D]
<poke>
... and no, it doesn't rhyme.

You are correct, by many accounts, KoolGZe, although I've never heard it needs a sharp point, nor necessarliy needing magnetism, although for the kind you're specifically talking about I expect you're right.
[:)]

You too are correct, Tisha, except that wands can be more than symbols if constructed/used correctly.
I don't, but I do know some that have, and it has been explained to me (the making of this kind of wand/staff), and metaphysically it makes sense, though I haven't tried it.
As yet.

and are you proving to yourself and to the others to be an Adult-here?
so, what are you doing here, then?
learning or proving?

anyway, if you are an adult, and know English a little bit more then
any Icelandian,
you still do not know what Energy to put in the staff except
your stupidity and Ignorance.
maybe it is because you think you are an adult.

to be Witch is not to be an adult, anyway.
it is usualy a Childish game for an average mind:
"to have powers!" "as a witch!" "just like on tv!"
"just like people there: on astralpulse!"

but you are just a crazy mother that like to imagine things inside your average uneducated(in magic-sense) mind.

anyway, when you die, you want be an adult any more,
you will no longer "prove" to everybody! that you are an adult,

you will be dead as an unborn Child.

how do you like it uneducated "witch"?

Myself,i find the word witch dumb.
I mean, there must be some better word for it.
The word Witch is associated with old hags flying on brooms.

Nagual

It's not because some people associated the "witch" word with old hags flying on brooms that you should change it...  What if the new word you choose is also associated in the same way...?  How many times will you change?  It's the same with the word "sorcery", that has been associated with negative occult activities...  Like people associated "TaiChi" with old people doing slow motion dance in parks...  Like people associated "French" with smelly people that never take a shower; etc...  Do you say "cliche" in english...?

It's not the word witch that is dumb; it's the association that people made...
If electricity comes from electrons, does morality come from morons?

Aristoles

Enlighten me,what is a witch again?

Nagual

An old hag flying on a broom... [:P][;)]

Btw, why do you hate wiccans, as you states in your profile...?
If electricity comes from electrons, does morality come from morons?

Aristoles

Oh,i still have that one?
Well,i havent met a decent one yet,so i wouldnt know better.

Tisha

I have newwwwwwwwwwwws for everyone.  The word "witch" is a northern european word for sorcerer.   THAT'S ALL!

Every culture has their word for it.  Shaman, medicine-man, strega, brujo/bruja, voodoin, mambo . . . etc. . . . . the traditions are different, but the Force behind it, and the Great Work, are the same.

But this has nothing to do with wands.  If you wish to discuss, I'm starting a new thread, it could be entertaining!  I'll add some historical reference to anyone who is interested.

(So how do you like being a witch, Mr. Azaithoth? We will hold a big party for you.)

in slav(w)ish language, there are 2 roots for that word!

1st: VISHTITSA: which means the woman which makes a milk sauer.
(when she comes into the room, the milk becomes sauer .
that is an metaphore, but still, that is a true legend.)

2nd: VIESHTA: in short: capable woman : woman with skills.
I have met a few, but they quited their skills, soon after,
or they never practised their natural skills,
-out of some stupid reasons, -OF COURSE!
so, I wouldnt know better.

so it seems,
the most of the women are here today,(I will not name a few, here,)
I hope not -all!
to practise their 'magic' without their skills(because they have none!) in the food of others!

only a few patty tricks along the way,
a few technics -at most!
bat wings in chicken soup etc

they do not even know - a basic Energies!- when they (do not) see One.
they think of it as a -SOUP! = "a mixture of all-sort of things"
they cannot differenciate -anything! no skills!
only HOCUS-POCUS  with no focus!

people, -DO NOT EAT IT!

wands can be used to channel your energy through: they by themselves have no power, but can be used to magnify magic energy.  jewels and what the wand is made from can have different effects on the amount of the increase in power.

astralspinner

Wizards have staffs, magicians have wands, etc - they appear in all the stories, films, etc.

But what about in reality? Is there really any actual use for a stick of whatever size when doing magic? And if so, what? I've never encountered anything, but some people swear by them..
