I have been in and out of thought with OBEs for quite some time now.  Love the topic though.  Never had an OBE but I get the vibes regularly almost at will.  I am ready to start some serious practice to acheive an OBE.  I have been going through the forum and making a mental note of differnt tricks to try.  I have know about all this ever since I read Monroe's first book in the mid 80's.  I read the rest of his books as he wrote them.  The one thing that I did notice, is as time went along his perception changed of the whole experiance.  Some of the accounts and places that he had been were fasicnating to say the least.  Everytime I get the vibrations, I get excited and then they dissapear.  Practice practice practice is the only thing that I can tell myself.

I'm from Houston too! I've never astral projected either and get the vibes often, but I don't astral project (yet) because I'm scared right before I do.
