An American dowsing pendulum ?

Hello, everyone !

I'm a dowser and use - among others - a very special pendulum.
In France we call it "pendule américain" (which should be translated as "American pendulum"). It is quite rare and I can not find any French site dealing with it. Only sites which SELL it (yes, mercantilism also concerns dowsing).
So, I looked for an anglosaxon one.

But while googling "american pendulum", I could find no information about that.

I would like to know the English name for that very pendulum ; just let me explain how it is :

It is a long cylinder (about 8.5 cm, and ended with a point) along which coloured squares are drawn (13, on mine, but it can vary).
There is also a ring that you can move/slide from one extremity to the other in order to select a colour or a special frequency.

So, if some of you ever know the name given to that special pendulum, please tell me. I've been surfing on the internet for many days without result.

I've never heard of this before.  Does it work better than a regular pendulum?

The real advantage is that it is a pendulum that both emits and receives the energie that has been selected thanks to a sliding ring.

That is easier than another pendulum to use when you have to make some energetic cure.
