Changing Beliefs 101

What are beliefs?
Beliefs are simply something that you believe to be true.  Notice how I didn't say they are necessarily what are true.  Convincing yourself that something is true; however, plays out in reality as if it were true.  So it is pretty much the same thing in terms of your experience of life.

Your beliefs; whether limiting or empowering, determine your life and the experiences you have (how you interpret those experiences too).
Why?  The answer is simple.  Beliefs are self-fulfilling prophecies.
You will do everything in your power to align your life (on an unconscious level) with what you deeply believe and doing so whether you want to or not.

So here are 3 quick ways to change your limiting beliefs and convert them to empowering ones:

1.)   Read books, attend seminars, find people and places that support who you want to be; your ideal self.  In other words be clear on what you want to become and what you want to achieve and then start gathering resources and immersing yourself into these until you become that new image.
2.)   Start to watch your mind from an outside perspective.  When you notice yourself participating in that old limiting belief that you want to change, consciously and intentionally switch your attention to the new belief you want to attain.  For example, you can say to yourself "Here I am experiencing the belief 'no one will ever love me' "...and then ask yourself, "Now how can I focus on what I do want?"  Consciously and intentionally switch your thoughts to something that you want in that moment and start feeling that new belief...such as, 'I attract loving people into my life'.
3.)   Use belief boards, and be clear in what you want to achieve.  Belief boards are incredibly effective in attaining and rewiring old beliefs.   For example, if you have 10 college reports due on the same week because of procrastination you can start to change this pattern by making a belief board.  Type up a simple affirmation saying something along the lines of:   " I am extremely productive.    I get my college work done as soon as possible."       When I mean belief board, I simply mean typing these new beliefs that you want in a word document, and printing it out on paper...then taping it to a wall or tacking onto a bulletin board.  Experiment, see which ones work best, be curious and have fun with them!

These are a few simple ways to change the beliefs that don't serve you.  Of course there are other ways to do this, but these are a start.  And of course, a good way to get the best results is to start by examining what you believe like if you were interviewing yourself, and then write down your limiting beliefs and empowering beliefs to any and every area of life you want to work on.

What if you live in England where only 5% of the countries population has an open mind?

Szaxx

Hi,
Thats easy, stay on the Pulse.

There's one more point to add. You get booted out of the astral if youre negatively oriented. Your belief system should be tiny in comparison to your openness and love of a universal good.
Sounds religious but its the only way up.
It's also a belief system in itself looking at it.
Think of the mind of a psychopath.
Apply the first post.
See where this could go?
There's far more where the eye can't see.
Close your eyes and open your mind.

Szaxx, what exactly do you mean by that comment, can you elaborate on it? Are you suggesting, the possibility of change for a psychopath through applying the first post?? Or have I completely misunderstood what you meant?

Szaxx

Hi,
The mind of a psychopath is set upon a belief system. They have let it take control and anything else is nonexistent outside of this. If this includes what we call normality then its not within their beliefs.
In 1, read books or reports of murderers and their modus operandi.
In 2, The obsession takes over and they react to this wanting to be as or more famous as the original perpetrator.
In 3, Create a belief board from the actions taken from the originator. Do the same as in the time reference. Be better than the original, show the world you mean buisnedd..

Your post is in no way dishonorable. It's a brilliant view of how to become better and shows a good understanding of changeing ideals to some far better. The affirmations must be applied as this would result in failiure. Each part backs up each other like building blocks.
Its a brilliant piece of work!
The only thing is its direction can be used either positively or negatively.
Thats not a fault in itself but improving for the good is a must. Without it humanity would fail. Imagine decadence arrogance and deceit mixed with greed using the above. A nightmare situation would ensue.
Greed would be the first thing and WW3 would commence.
Arrogance and deceit following on so no nation had supremacy.
We'd be fried and planet Earth lifeless. ( An extreme viewpoint but we have this capability).

The way of good would make planet Earth a heaven.
Each helping another, no diseases affecting whole countries just total oneness with all.
I hope this clears up the interpretation.
Brilliant work, Im impressed.

Sorry Szaxx, I misunderstood what you were getting at. Just to be clear OP, I wasn't having a dig at the method, the method looks sound to me, I'm in agreement with it.

Szaxx

Hi,
It is sound, my post could have been misunderstood too.
Language barriers and all.
Im glad we agree.
