I do not know where it "originally" came from, but I got it from an open forum on another web site.  I think the person that posted it there mentioned that somebody e-mailed it to them or something.  I suspect it is just one of those things that is interesting enough that people keep passing it around?

But why a carrot! How does 6 connect with carrot.. Maybe cause we say the X part in six, if you think about it that's the longest sound you use in six. Maybe that's why a c sound vegitable comes to mind.

I thought carrot too. Pretty simple why the majority think of a carrot - when you are told to QUICKLY think of something you think of the most well known thing - the most well known vegetable in existance is the carrot.

I thought about a green hot pepper. Didnt think about carrot once. I knew before I took this test that my mind was different. If I find something in my mind thats arbitrary, like 6-->carrot, I usually delete it. Only things that have a purpose can stay in my mind.
