Brain to slow?

Hey,

This might sound stupid but since a month or two I have been having these short views on places or things while fully awake (well, maybe more in a relaxed state). I don't see it with my eyes but in the 'minds eye'. These pictures are always very clear and detailed but are just flashes, they don't stay for more than a second or so. The problem is that when I have a flash I can see the picture but can't seem to store it in my memory so that the picture quickly fades.

Is the concious mind that much slower than the subconcious that it can't keep up with it?

also I think that somehow the pictures are of no relevance to my life because the always feel like they where not ment for me.

Every bit of advise or even critics might be helpfull overcoming a barrier I seemed to have hit
Thanks in advance

Maybe it's not that your conscious mind is too slow, but your third eye is too fast. Try ceasing third eye practice for a few days or weeks.

I put particular importance in observing what happens in the mind's eye... I believe it's a gateway to our higher intelligence...

Basically, our brain has this "buffer area" that is used for processing data, ranging from our thought processes to the nervous system (sight, hearing, touch, taste, smell). When you go into trance, you disable these "pathways" and plug directly into a mind that is separate from your physical body, and is much more powerful in terms of creativity and intelligence.

When you daydream, you are in a way using more of your resources towards thinking and visualizing than processing what happens around you and in your body.

When we are conscious, we only have access to this limited buffer area in the brain which is capable of limited communication with the "out-of-body mind." I firmly believe that developing psychic powers is all about training the brain to communicate with that higher mind and bring its abilities into the waking state.

This is compatible with phasing in the sense that you have the physical thought processes overlapping with the non-physical ones, and by deactivating the physical ones, you get to experience more of the non-physical ones -- two currents are on the same line, and you learn to shift towards one or the other. Normally, the non-physical "current" is very faint compared to the physical one, so by using it, you also amplify it and make it stronger so that you can perceive it in waking life.

Note that the images are not always meaningful... I have "clairvoyance moments" where I suddenly see hallucinations -- often shadows on walls become objects that move. The creative mind adds something to physical sight just by trying to interpret shapes, and it can create really odd visions. Not only are shapes translated, but also feelings, tastes, etc... So there's really no telling what will appear.

I suspect this may have something to do with the balance between left brain and right brain...

Your soul remembers pretty much everything, but if my theory from the 'Dynamics of Memory' thread holds any ground, your memories are sometimes kept on frequencies you can't read in your normal state.

Try recalling the images when you're about to fall asleep.  If they were communicated to you by a spirit, they might be kept on a frequency you can't read when awake.

The Idea of trying to recall the images on borderline sleep seems to have moderate succes.
I can get to see them again, but can't be absolutly to sure it's the exact same images.
Also these images always lead to dreams I can't remember wich leads to believe me that the images aren't meaningfull like kiwibonga said. (Cause I only seem to remember dreams wich affect me in life)

Question solved, Thanks

cool guy

i described something similar on this message board once and someone told me what i was experiencing was that i was seeing hypnogogic images or having a hypnogogic hallucination.

one thing i noticed when these hallucinations occured was that, it seemed like i was watching a film with my minds eye but the speed of what i was seeing was on fast forward.  everything moved so quickly and, like u described also, the pictures faded quickly, especially when i'm trying to pay attention to it.  these episodes usually happen to me when i'm taking an afternoon nap and it last no longer than a minute.  i still get these ocassionally but i still dotn know what to make of it...all i know is my perception is opening more ever since i've gotten into meditation and the likes

I would call this a "Little white shadows" experience. My guess is that your interdimensional capabilities are kicking in and this experience is meant to make you look if there is more to you than flesh and bones.

First, you should be aware that the Concept of Subconscious Mind is very Materialistic.  It resupposes that these images of yours are coming from your own head.

But what if they are not from your own head?

What if they are being communicated to you from without?

then it wouldnot be the Subconscious, would it?   Then the problem would be that you are not swift enough to understand it as it flashes by.

Yes, the Materialists have been indoctrinating Western Civilization for the last 300 years to nihilistically renounce all outside and spiritual influences.  So it is 'subconscious mind' this 'subconcious mind' that.

but as these Materialists used to say about other things... "We have nothing to lose but our chains".  We need to throw out this Concept of the Subconscious Mind as they have implanted it only to Usurp the Place of Spirituality.

I like to think that the subconscious mind, as we call it, is merely a filter placed on a larger "network" to filter out things that are meant for us, but that it's not entirely impossible to pick up other messages floating around the network.
Even if the messages are not from our own, that doesn't explain why our "decoder" the conscious mind can't handle some information-streams that come in.

Excuse me for using computerterminology to explain the idea, but I have no other way to put it into words.
