I am not a Pyschic Vampire but an Empath!

I recently posted an articile on pyschic vampirism that there seems to be some confusion over.
Although I gave a detailed description of the practice and wrote about its similarites to empathy I am in no way a psi vamp but an empath and strongly look down upon anything another would do to harm another.
People on the contrary should be wary of pyschic vampirism because they could be easily confused by some of its similarities to empathy.
I believe that I wrote at the end of the topic of Pyschic Vampirism that anyone could learn how to do empathy and not vampirism which is something that either a person has or doesn't have and can't learn how to do.

i dont see how they can get confused....empathy involves reading the energy givin off by a person while psychic vampires steal energy not givin off but yet taking there collective energy that they need.

stealing energy does

it isn't from being one (although they have dysfunctional chakras, they can be repaired), but from acting like one

People radiate out energy all the time. It doesn't harm them to collect that energy. It is a good thing to do in some ways. If you have a weak chakra then being around someone who has a different weak chakra will help balance both of you. The person using this technique is also radiating energy all the time.

like I said I belive that 2 people can both share energy in a totally non destructive intimate way benfitting both persons involved.

It happens to a small extent when any two people are physically near each other. It just happens to work better when the people involved know about the process and can encourage it. I'm just agreeing with you that it is a good way for people to help each other develop faster.

no i know that this would be impossible....
one must be born of this......

and psivamps feed off of energy....kinda like the way you would gain your strength back with sleep and/or food.....to me and the rest of the psivamp community.....energy is life.

and all you were doing is manipulating energy....good skill to have.....but it is in no connection to the way psivamps feed.....or how psivamps would go about it......

I think the worst effect of psychic vampirism isn't the stealing energy part, it's the fact that it has caused some people to decide it would be so cool to be a vampire (Just like in the movies, man!) and therefore they run around claiming to be psychic vampires, being rather proud of it.

It's almost as ridiculous as the DBZ fans who go around psionics forums asking how they can blow up school bullies with ki balls.

Yeah, they should change the name "Psi Vampire" to something less appealing like "Energy Thief" or "Ki Vandal" or "Psi Pickpocket".

I thought that wiccans were all about taking energy from nature, not other humans. They say emphatically not to harm other people... the whole "5 times back-at-you" thing.

They do....but i also learned that everyone around you shares energy.....giving and taking to suit thier own needs.....a symbiotic relationship with your environment so to speak....

I've also learned to draw energy from donors so that i would not go against my faith...
in the many years that i've been a psy vampire and a Wiccan....i've learned to suit my needs without going against nature.


oh and the term your going for sir is not energy thief......but a dbzvamp.....ones that tend to think like they would in dbz {and i kinda think most dbz'rs are the ones out thier thinking that thier psy vampires.....lol

its kinda funny now that i think about it.....

unfortionatly i am a psi vamp
only recently have i learned this because
a couple of years ago
my uncle meditated with me
and shielded me then one of my friends realised it
and took the sheild off because
i thought it was hendering my ability to do tk
then i noticed i was able to sence emotions
and feel energy  i thought i was an empath
being able to sence emotions but aperently
i can feed off the energy of others.

i refuse to use this ability again
because i realise what it does to others (i have expeirenced being drained completly by one oh my friends an un aware pis vamp, negs or negative spirets drawn by the use of the oiji board in the wrong way and an evil spiret that tried to suffacate me)

not only that but its a double edge sword you can draw negative spirets emotions and energy and it really messes you up.so because of this i acasionaly release my energy just incase i accidentaly took some one else im doing this until i can see my uncle again or my spiritual friends to try to shield me.

p.s. i mean no harm to any on so not all psi vamps are bad

and to the point....: You cant become a Psy Vamp with practice....only act like one......and thats never a good idea...cuz it makes a bad rep to us other PV's {psy vamps} and to me...thats a disrespect action or sorts......the only way to be a PV is to be a PV.....be born that way or be reincarnated that way.

There is a big difference when your drawing energy with an objective and drawing it because you need it.

Silent fox, there is shielding you can do on your own, its better that way anyway. If someone else does it then it will degrade over time, have them try to walk you through setting up the shields yourself. Its well worth it in the long run.

i hate being an empath....on fathers day the family went to a military cemetery...i couldn't stand it...as soon as we went thru the gates it hit me like a tidal wave, all this sad emotion, i just wanted to scream and cry at the same time.

I agree that the vampire term doesn't suit it.. Technically, we aren't vampires. We don't drink blood for either energy or substanance, so we don't fit the definition.


Look, you have a misconception here. Yes, there are people who go around taking energy at random, but some people have to rely on the energy of others. I have a problem with leaking of energy. I sleep 13-16 hours a day, have to rid my house of fatty foods (A tendency to eat like crazy otherwise), and suffer the emotional and physical effects of constantly losing energy. If I couldn't take energy from my friends, I think my system would just go to default and start sapping energy out of anyone. >__> And it's not even that I take a noticable amount. It's not a frig'n super power, we aren't /really/ vampires.


It's a phycic disease. Someone has a leak in thier chakra system. They start taking outside chakra to try and even themselves out. That person, over a period of time, suffers damage to their chakra system. Unless a person is willing to deal with being mentally and physically lifeless (Or really damn close to it), they generally resort to taking a little from someone else.

We're all a part of the same earth-energy system, taking in the same energies. There is an infinite amount of energy given to us by this system, and everyone has free access to it.

So what's the point of taking it from a little 6V battery when you can get it from the infinite source? If you have the ability to steal it from another person, it should be extremely easy to consciously soak it up from the earth.

The only reason to take it from someone else is to exert power over another, which in turn inflates ego, which in turn feels "energetic", yet comes with a depression afterwards (a leak). That's not the proper energy to be taking in and will have a "draining" effect in the end.

Wow, talk about self ritious. o_o; I've already told you, I /can't/ get energy the regular way. It just sort of goes through me, and then out into la-la land, leaving me as exausted as ever.

Also, if you knew my source of energy, you wouldn't be calling me the egotist. My best friend has such an over-poweing emotional aura that she still catches me by surprise, and she shares energy with me /willingly/. I don't steal it from her, and I rarely have to make a contious effort to get anything. >__>

If your energy system is damaged, sometimes only particular types of energy will stick.
