My experience with auric sight

Hi, this is my first post here. Pardon me if my English isn't perfect. I am slightly disoriented with my latest experiences and would greatly appreciate any confirmation and help about what I saw.

I'll put you in context first. I used to practice psychokinesis, I have already made psiballs to a certain extent and have also experienced feeling my energy, at times very strongly, between my hands when making a psiball or simply bringing palms close together. I believe I can slightly feel the aura of another person with my hands. I also seem to have always seen a haze around objects and people and at times a white glow around people's head if I gazed. 

That was before a few days ago.. For a reason I can't remember, I decided recently to try and see my aura (I had tried before without success, or so I thought). I did so by gazing at my hand against a white background in my dimly lit room and also by gazing around my head looking into a mirror in a fairly dim lit bathroom (the only lighting came from a lightbulb behind me but none in front of me). What happened when I gazed at my hand is I saw after some time a green neon-like glow outline around my fingers. (I also saw another day a dark blue outline!) Looking around my head I saw the same white glow I had already seen before, but which after a moment gazing became green. I have tried seeing that glow on everyone in my family and have seen so far a blue glow, another blue glow (slightly different) and once a yellow glow (on three different persons). That glow was around the head and sometimes would outline from the top of the head down to the shoulders.

Last night, when I was practicing again in front of the mirror and expecting this same colored glow to appear,  I experienced something completely different. Instead, something green, looking very much like a drawing and with no glow appeared around me. It was expanding maybe 20-30 centimeters each side of my head ( I read the second aura layer, the emotional layer, isn't larger than around 7 centimeters) and it wasn't fully green either. It had lines and holes the color of the background behind me, hence the comparison to a drawing. It looked rather artistic ! I saw that same type of « drawing » around my mother in another room over a pale background again, but this time I clearly saw it pulsing, shrinking to her body, then reappearing further outside, and so on. I also saw once some sort of clouds over her head, the same color as the rest. At one time I could see both a blue outline around her arm and that green/yellow drawing around her.

The weird thing is I can also see this phenomenon looking at a pale wall. Is it possible that the mirror only helps us because you can see your whole body, but that you can in fact see your aura looking directly in front of you at a pale background ? I have also seen white-blueish electricity-like energy doing that, the etheric body maybe.

The time span between the apparition of the « drawing » and the first time I began practicing auric vision is only 3 days. Now I wonder in particular what layers of the aura I could have seen, but if anyone can tell me anything about my experience, I'll be very interested to know.

There is a book called Hands of Light by Barbara Brennan that has a very good description of what she's seen experienced related to auras. It includes color drawings as well as discussions of diseases and emotions relative to the aura. You may want to read it.

I have only had a few experiences with auras myself, and never a 'full-blown' one. I've only ever seen one color around a person, usually the head. Although I will often times see the blue layer around my legs when I'm doing yoga. My hands always appear orange to me, but not as an outline, like around my legs. Its like my hands themselves were painted orange -- strange. And I've also seen the 'cloud' type things around peoples heads. Usually a sky blue color, but once they were all white. I haven't had any issues with background colors affecting the viewings though. Most of my experiences have come spontaneously. Many while I'm sitting in a meeting with several people around a table. Or if I'm talking quietly with a friend. They just appear.
