I don't know what you are trying to ask.  Are asking if auras are real or after images?

I am not an expert but I have some experiences.  Yesterday I was staring at my hand when suddenly I was coccooned in moving sea of brilliantly colored smoke(for better use of a word).  The colors ranged from deep purple to orange to green.  The colors were intense and very sharp.  But when I lost concentration, the coccoon disapeared and I had no after image.  I was able to reproduce it by concentrating on my fingers again.

As I said in another post, (on a rant again), since birth we have trained our eyes to only see forward and have ignored our peripheral vision.  Our peripheral version is way sharper because we never use it and the cornea is not burned as is our forward vision.

When I fist started, I only saw the blue colors around my fingers and yes when my eyes shifted, I saw an after image.Why?  Because the brain uses the left eye and right eye seperately.  When we focus on an object, the brain will suddenly shift from one eye to the other, leaving an after image in one eye.  When we shift from one eye to the other we are changing perspective, or angle of view, and we see the afterimage of the previous angle.

The blueish hue that you are seeing is your astral body.  It is the first thing that we see when we look for an aura.  Then, as you concentrate and practice more, you will start to see smoke like colors rushing from your skin, then you will see the aura forming six inches off of your skin.

I currently see up to two feet off of my body and it is breath taking to see.  I have been practicing for three weeks straight, one hour a day and I know there is much more to do.

But I have to say that if you are seeing the blue tinge, you are doing it right and you will see yourself progress really fast from now on.

The true aura is not the same thing as an after-image or neg color balance for something you stare at. The true aura is very subtle and you must really concentrate to see it. It should probably get stronger
and more clear once you learn to look at it properly.

Just stare at a plant for 10 minutes at the same spot without blinking
and see if you catch anything else than the after image. []

Well when i saw the blue color it was when i moved my hand. It happend with other things too, like i stare at something for too long i see white color when i move.

I think the color negative for skin is blue. Should be something
like that. You could say that the aura starts 5cm from the body
to make it clearer what the true aura is.
