If they take over the world or anything, officially.
You would at least be safe and powerful if you're a freemason.

They are Freemasons, so you will be joining evil. There are a lot of well meaning people in the first 3 levels of the society who do not know what is going up the ladder. Only those capable of machination and evil are advanced to the higher levels. The rulers of this world are at level 33, yet there is somebody above them who sunctions all they do.

The question is, do you want to be a part of the evil society and therefore part of the bad vibrations, or would you prefer to be more concerned about the spiritual nature of your being and take care to be always in the light, alighned with the most positive cosmic vibrations?

Look, I believe what they believe is logical.
If I were to die without ever feeling power or feeling that I was part of something great, that would make me unsatisfied.
If I would die without having done anything important, then what's the point of living?
And yes you're right, I do not care about others.
I'm selfish and uncaring.
If this fits your model of "evil", I care not.
I deeply, from my heart, do not believe in evil, doesn't that make me good in some way?
And someone who cares more of others than himself, is more naïve and blinded by the illusion of good and evil than anything else, in my humble opinion.
These people (Illuminati(IF THEY EXIST in the first place)) are intelligent.

Every human being is the same, either you have 6 billion or 1 billion, it's all the same.
They are going to die one day anyways, like everyone will.
Just as us, we will die one day aswell.

The fact is, there are way too many people on earth today.
We could easily live with a couple of billion less.

Ok this is going way out of hand, there is no "you" if there are no sources that you can copy to form your personality filled with imitations from earlier observations of reality.
Everyone born in the western society views media, everywhere.
You can't dodge all that information.
Some of it will get into your subconscious which will change your personality.

Yes, I agree, media gets into us, and this is how they intend it. But if you consciously suspend your believe in the messages it is projected, if you question what it is they are feeding you, that would be a good start to starting to reclaim yourself and not to be their puppet.

Also, you might want to consider to start studying some spiritual teachings. A good start might be Adrian's Our Ultimate reality, though you might find some other book on the subject as well.

I would also invite you to watch Michael Tsarion videos I will be posting shortly. They explain where our troubled psyche came from and the need  to start repossessing it.

There is nothing better than to have one's self belonging only to yourself!

But what if the illuminati is really a cover story for an even deeper organization that no one on the internet knows about? And if they get found out, there is another secret society they were a front for. Or... the people giving you the information about the illuminati IS the illuminati, and it's all info to throw you off of their real plan.  What if... Alex Jones... is really.... the illuminati? Or, just misinformed? Or dead on with his facts, but he doesn't have them all? I trust no one. Either side. Think for yourself and make an educated decision.
