It is not a question of fear. It would be if you joined those societies to safe your skin.

Life was given to us by God because we have a purpose in this life, a mission to fulfill. It is up to us to find this purpose we have and fulfill it. And nobody has a right to be tempering with what is God given to us.

I don't believe I'm a magnificent spiritual being either, don't get me wrong, I'm not here to disagree with everything you say.
But, I believe that I'm merely a tool for something greater.
Not unique in any way (except my DNA), the same organic being as any other human.

So what, if we fullfill it, what do WE get?

Look at it objectively instead of so optimisticly.

If he's so allmighty, why doesn't he do it himself... Jesus Christ...

I believe in some kind of architect, but the idea that god made us (humans) specificly for us to find a "purpose" is preposterous.
We have enough facts on how evolution/psychology works, to disprove the classic god model.
I'm sorry if I offended you, but someone has to shake this out of you.

nah well I think most people's model of god is the classic one so everyone who disagrees with the classic on automatically disowns the notion of there being a god/architect.

I look at the universe holisticly subsequently I see everything to be a part of the whole as well as containing the whole. "god" is NOT a sentient being with a beard. THAT is definately ridiculous...

I could go so far as to say "god" was the first mind and as he thought so we became.
This fits in with an architect type theory... not the classic god thinks hey i've got a week spare how bout making a planet? yeah that sounds cool...

I don't believe you'd be able to hide from them in the bush. They will locate you with the locating devices that pick up body-emitted heat. The same principle as they use to track criminals at night now - the night vision devices, or even some much more sophisticated technology than that.

You made an error right here, you don't determine what your character is by thought.

Other humans determine who you are and your character by what they say.

If they do not approve your characteristics, you will do the same.
If they do approve, you will continue doing that.

I agree with you both here... There's a huge amount of social control but only YOU have the power. Theres a good saying Im always reminded of "There is no such thing as power over, only power within"

and as for hiding in the bush? I was talking about in the most remote area on the planet! I think its in the philipines or something... some places that just havent been explored so who'd look there?

Either that or I could go hijack one of the pyramids i mean those pharoas dont exactly have a use for them any more they're dead... Who'll think to look for me there?

Most local Masonic organizations don't seem up to anything sinister. The one in my community does all kinds of awesome community work. I know that one of the regulations to being a mason is to help philanthropically without any kind of recognition in return. You have to do this to be initiated.

I've read all the conspiracy theories and don't know what to make of them, but I'm not worried about my local chapter.

I recently watched a documentary on government RV programs, and while the programs were definitely real, they were mostly a cold war tool. The Russians had there own programs and began to release rumors of things, like they had a guy who could stop a goat's heart with his mind. But it was made up to scare the US. So the US would make up lies about what they learned to scare the Russians. They cancelled the RV programs because not only was the cold war cooling down, but they didn't get very good results. The were on about 1 out of 100 tries and could never prove the data found came from RV. They found it was a waste of time for such crappy results.

At least that's what they tell us...
