Thanks for proving the point.

Kidding, kidding.  I think both sides have some how lost the meaning on their parties as time as moved on.  But I have to say that the democrat/liberal party is really mucking things up right now.  I'm so happy Pelosi lost being the Speaker of the House, and they no longer have the majority.

LOL... I consider myself a liberal, and the ONLY statement that describes me is "they think they're supersmart"  :-D
I forgot to underline "think"

Seriously though, we as Republicans (or conservatives) are not without our own faults.
I could probably do a self-analysis and make a long list of my shortcomings also

Come on folks.  I watch a lot of news and I haven't seen any that aren't biased.   Fox's claim t0 be "fair and balanced" just doesn't flow with the facts.  It's not just the commentaries by Beck, Hannity and O'Reilly but activities such as this:

http://www.examiner.com/political-buzz-in-national/video-fox-news-takes-criticism-for-1-million-donation-to-republican-party

Whether it's MSNBC or Fox, they would all like to fill your minds with bovine excrement and have you love it!

I simply have to disagree, FOX is not like any other station out there.

I admit they lean to the right but so what?  They give both sides and that is much more than anyone can say about CNN, MSNBC,etc.  My god, even the series that are on these stations take jabs at Republicans.  I'm not crazy about Palin either but can the trashing of her and her family, just stop already??   The liberals have had control too long.  Can you name me one station that isn't on talk radio that gives the opinions and facts of the right?  You can't because there isn't one.

That is why the left hates FOX.  FOX gives the other side, the side that the left conveniently leaves out all the time.   And they hate that someone has finally picked up a blow horn and is using it, hence all the demonizing of FOX, which includes Hannity, Beck, and O'reilly.  The left hate that finally there is a station that people can go to when they are sick of all the visceral hate, hypocrisy and rhetoric that is literally hemorrhaging out of the liberal stations.

Take your link for an example.  I actually read it.  I wonder how many took the time to read what I put up?  Most liberals don't bother with other opinions especially if they know that it is coming from the lips of a right-winger, (which I'm not btw)  I think the time of Pelosi liberals are about up.  But I digress.

About your link; you do realize that it's hardly unusual for media companies to support candidates and political parties, right?  General Electric, which owns NBC gave donations to Democratic candidates and I believe they also gave some to a Republicans, not as much but it was still nice of them.  And Disney, which owns ABC, donated to both sides again, but I think that was just a cover their butt type thing and I suppose smart business practice.  They've learned to don't bite half the hands that feed you.  CBS gave to Democratic PACs and then gave a token donation to some Republicans.  I think in your link that you gave, they are complaining about the amount that was given.  My neighbor has a fantastic pool damnit, I demand I get one too!!

The Democrats have Soros for goodness sakes, he has pumped Millions into the party but you don't hear liberals complaining about that.  I also think, I'm not sure but he has his winky in Media Matters, or Daily costs, so wouldn't that be doing what you are claiming is wrong for FOX to be doing?

I think liberals just need to stop listening to all the rhetoric and find the truth on their own.

Look, Nay, I don't care who gave what to whom.  If Fox resonates with you  -- great.  But honestly,  I don't recall Soros claiming to be "fair and balanced" like Fox.  And how much did Fox give to Democratic candidates after the million dollar donation to the Republican party?  I'm just tired of the partisan BS from all sides.  Nobody seems to want to work together for the common good.

They dont wanna work together because their ideologies are completely different.

The Left wants socialism, the Right doesnt.
The Left hates big business, the Right doesnt because it realizes big business creates jobs.
The Left wants wealth to be shared so long as its your wealth and not theirs.

I could go on and on but let me end it by saying the USA has become one of the most successfull countries in the worldd through capitalism, they would be foolish to change that now into socialism.  If it aint broke then dont fix it.  And just because you hit a pothole in the road (recession) does not mean you have to replace and rebuild the entire highway.

"If it ain't broke, don't fix it"  ummmm.....darn big pothole this one is.  I'm tired of the biggest of the big businesses getting to run over everybody with impunity.  It's disgraceful.  I'm tired of government choosing those big business interests over the right of our citizens.

What do you define as success, Fresco?  I'm guessing your definition greatly differs from mine that that therein lies the problem :)

Well said.  People have been brainwashed over decades to think capitalism is bad, I don't understand it.

Then will have to agree to disagree, because FOX News does resonate me and they are fair and balance far more than any other source out there.  Their ratings show that I'm not alone with this opinion.

Whom do you think owns these big businesses?  All walks of life, from all areas of the political spectrum.

In any business, hell, in any thing you are going to find people who are honest, hardworking, fair, kind..etc. and then you will find the ones who run their businesses with dishonesty, laziness, and unfair practices.  That's just the facts of life.

QuoteI'm tired of government choosing those big business interests over the right of our citizens.
Then you better vote republican in 2012.  The very definition of what Obama and Democrats stand for is BIG government.  The big businesses that Obama and team are choosing to bail out are the ones who are run by unions and everyone knows that the left and unions are one and the same.

Have you not been paying attention to this present government?  He's taking over the Banks, car companies and soon the internet.  The man has so many Czars it's insane!  Obama wants to be a dictator, not a President.

What would you like to see happen?  When you've put all big businesses out of business, where do you propose to get a job?  From the govt?  And once the govt. has killed all the businesses that created jobs, who's pocket are they going to pick to sustain all this govt take over??

You realize that raising taxes is the way that liberals do business.  That is where they get all their money in order to share all this wealth to those who are too damn lazy to get out there and take care of their own families. They are creating a whole generation of lazy, I want a hand out because I deserve it, bums.

It's been in the works for some time now, starting with our schools.  As long as we have people teaching in our colleges like Bill Ayers, we will continue in this stupid loop.  Do you recognize his name?  He's the guy who hates American and was involved with the Weather Underground.  Oh, just in case you didn't or others didn't know.  That was a domestic terrorist group. They were involved with bombing a police station and other not so nice things.

Obama was friends with him, I think he still is, but being President it would be stupid to continue to hang out with him.  Kinda like Obama's Rev. Wright.. the roosters are coming home to roost guy.  Another man who hates America and their capitalist ways.  This man stands on a pulpit every Sunday and God-damns America.  Nice.  I believe Obama spent like 20yrs in that church, listening to that garbage, but only when he became President did he throw the Rev. under the bus.

Obama almost allowed this country to go right under when he was not going to extend the Bush tax cuts.  I just don't understand people's thought process.  It common economics 101.  You cannot tax people to their throats and expect your country to flourish.

Perhaps it's my age and the fact that I have a family and have owed two homes and know for a fact that I have more money in my pocket when there ISN'T a Democrat in office.

You said that the U.S. is one of the most successful countries, and I am just wondering what that means to you?

Well....success is relative I suppose.   There's a bit of a paradox at work, America is financially and militarily obviously very successfull.  But they are also some of the unhappiest people I ever met (I'm generalizing of course).  They wrote the book on school shootings, office shootings, serial killers...etc.  They are also one of the highest drug consuming countries in the world, both pharma and illegal drugs.

So in one way they are very successfull, and in another way I believe them to be spiritually unsuccessfull.
I'm generalizing but I think you know what I mean, right?

I am quite surprised by many people here's views. Saying that, I'm sure that had I been raised by American TV and news conglomerates I might hold many of the same views as you. You Cuss on Liberals approach to using money to help people as opposed to having the fat cats at the top of their 'big company's' doing less work than a shelf stacker and bathing in fresh crisp 100s whilst single mother's who've had an unfortunate upbringing go poor and stay poor. No one in the top 20 % needs half of the amount of money they own. That video? You all believed a single word of that video? 60 dollars for sugar? This video has the stink of Fox excrement all over it. I'll come back to this later!

I stopped watching the news at least a decade ago. I don't think I ever really started in the first place.

Fox does have a few of my favorite TV shows though; House, Family Guy, South Park, V, Spartacus, 24, American Dad.
