Hi. If you make yourself stay awake for like 1 day or 2 days straight, maybe more, could this help in the assistance of an OBE?

In my experience, no. Getting too much sleep can help (with napping attempts during the day), or waking up multiple times during the night with the use of an alarm. Staying up for a while, and then returning to bed.

How can you get to much sleep, im sleeping all the time and still dont have enought...
..i cant relax without falling asleep...
And about that napping in morning..cant it make too much confusion to do a real *conscious* projection, last time i triead it after few awakenings i couldnt realize if im dreaming or not, couldn understand what to do with my alarm timer and my cat was looking at my with his face like he was explaining to tel me about logarythms..and i tought i was awake...
Nice to see you :)

In my experience yes, but the tricky part is that your physical body might be so tired, that when you finally let it fall asleep it will....and...there is a chance that you won't be able to wake it up so easily....wiggle your toe...or think "go back to my body"..no way!!!..Muaaaahhhhaaaaahhaaaa!!
Ya. I'm former workoholic who never got enough sleep, so I have been through this a few times... I'll give you  a tip: don't try this at home

ps...but..if you have strong will it can be fun...going on and off all the time...yeeeeha :witch:

my advice to you is not force yourself to stay up, but simply try practicing at different times. ive practiced about 5-6 times during the day and at least 4 of those times ive had more success than i ever did practicing at night.

so try to switch it up a bit.

Go to bed early..very early and go to sleep. Affirmations to be conscious in your dreams..remember your dreams..obe etc..without fail I think i can gaurantee you have a verty good chance of having at least a lucid dream...

I usually need around 5-6 hrs a night sleep. If I have 8 or more, I feel groggy and 'dull' when awake. Any more then that I feel dozzy, and tired. If I try and sleep more I get a lot of false awakenings, sleep paralysis, vibrations and spontanious projections. So anything more than 8 hours, is 'too' much for me. I guess this will vary for different people.

Well a true conscious projection involves sitting/lying, entering trance and projecting. Without the aid of sleep, or the border of sleep, this is a very very difficult thing to do - few people can do it consistently, if at all.

bah, I wish this was the case with me! :) I'm quite an insomniac, and regularly go a day or so with no sleep. The only thing I notice after a few days of no sleep is a rushing mind and quite frantic hypnogogic imagery.

That's true. It's probably the best way.

What i did:
Get up ~ 9:00 yesterday, went to unversity totally ticked off got home at ~ 17:00, went to some event, ~ 21:20 was back home, still ticked off/depressed(a lot of energy to release)
I was hanging around til ~23 then started doint physics, i drank a lot of tee, i felt my brain turing off few times, then i finally went for coffe :) and after few minutes finished my work ~5:20 went something like sleep, put my earphones on and left loud music...
I just had to close my eyes and i began te feel falling feeling, i didnt had to concentrate to not think because i was using my brain so much they were just shut off but still conscious... the music kept my mind from falling asleep but the body was dud.. unfortunately i was too tired to try something out, but i could easly move my dream heands and get a load of other strange feelings..today i feel like zombie (slept some 2 hours, meybe less :D)
..so it helps, if you do it the right way, ie resist so long you cant sleep...
Nice to see you :)
