Am I getting close?

As of lately I've been having no trouble going from lucid dream to projection. I set my alarm to go off 2 hours before I would normally get up, and then I project soon after that. The thing is though, I'm also so... groggy when I project that way. Everything is very unclear and it's like I'm moving through a thick soup, and then I just get sucked back into my body.

Yesterday was my first time trying to project from a meditative state, or not from a dream, and it seemed to be working well. I've been sleeping with a fan on my entire life, and having a fan on while I was trying to project almost seemed like it was tricking me into feeling relaxed and sleepy. After lying down for 5 minutes maybe, I started to see these weird swirls in my eyelids. They were mostly green and blue colored and I noticed as I focused my attention on that, my body went completely numb and felt almost heavy. It's hard to explain but it almost felt like my hands were in weird positions and I felt the urge to move them, but didn't. My body went completely frozen and it felt like I was almost in a hard shell. As soon as I noticed this my heart started pounding extremely fast. Although later I found out it wasn't actually my heart, but my heart chakra that was freaking out. I got to this point twice yesterday, and then stopped thinking I was going to give myself a heart attack. I looked on here and found out it wasn't actually my heart though.

Is this good? Am I close? What do I do from here?

Sounds like you're doing just fine.  :)

I'd say you are very close, I've gotten to that point where I don't feel the body anymore so basically my mind is awake and my body asleep, I just wait for the vibrations or the feeling that I'm about to have an AP and it just happens.

In my case there is a point where I know I'm ready to get out, so I've rolled over or I've done the rope technique.
