Hi, I'm making a bit of a log on astral projection I'm a complete newbie and would appreciate feedback.

Wednesday, July 11, 2012
I'm reading School of outer body travel version 2.0 which is free.http://obe4u.com/files/SOBT.pdf This book gets straight into the techniques of astral projection a few pages into the book.

It says to set your alarm so you sleep for 6 hours. Then wake without opening your eyes and try and separate your spirit from your body. Followed by waking up repeatedly and doing  2-3 exercises from the 5 exercises of moving your astral body. The book says I have a 50% chance of having an out of body experience however I'm not sure how my clozapine will interact. I choose the swimming motion with my astral body, the rubbing of my astral hands and the wiggling of my astral feet

Tonight after doing the exercises I felt my astral body start to rise out of my body but I couldn't control it to move it out of my body

July 12th and 13th  2012
My medication causes me to be very sleepy and its hard to do the exercises

Just keep trying, and with practice, you will do it.

And once you do it, you will be relieved (and even elated, lol)

Perhaps any method works (or doesn't work) for different people? W Buhlman has
described more than 40 different methods for OBE, but he hasn't any explanation
why so many people have difficulties succeeding with OBEs.

So in light of that, it may be worth noticing that Raduga doesn't believe in OBEs into the RTZ.
At least not in the Monroe sense (for example "pinching" people).

Perhaps it's more about putting intent, than using any specific method? Many persons
have reported OBEs just happening randomly or by some seemingly unrelated event.

Good luck with your log, I'll read if you post. :)

Looked at clock at 1am decided not to wake at 4:30 to do astral projection exercises.

Work up at 4:30 to do multiple wake-ups and astral projection exercises, did exercises properly and woke up multiple times. It didnt work.  I think its my medication stopping me from leaving my body.  Maybe I'll try the astral projection exercises that you do when your wide awake.

If feasible, try practicing in the afternoon instead of at night when you go to bed.

But about the medication thing, I have a similar problem and usually what I'll do is take my meds, then have a cup of something with caffeine about 20-30 minutes later, then lay down and practice (which I do around 3-5pm).  I usually drink a small redbull because those don't effect me that much, but it all depends on your caffeine tolerance.  For some it might be coffee, a cup of strong breakfast tea or something like a coke.  That seems to help me when I have to take my meds that make me too sleepy.
be awesome.

My friend says I should do meditation to make separation easier.  Instead of using tactics like waking up in the middle of the night.

I'm going to wake up earlier so I can practice astral projection in the mornings.

personalreality

I've never been able to project in the middle of the night.  I've only ever had success when attempting conscious exit by means of meditation/trance induction.  And like I said, the afternoon has always been the best time for me.
be awesome.
