Every time I am out of body every single person I come across has this sexual tension about them and feels like everyone turns me on. Its kind of annoying cause sometimes i cant get passed it. Does anybody know what I mean? Its really frustrating!

Maybe it's something to do with your thoughts on relationships in this world, or your current relationship if you are in one... something with sex or something. I am not sure on this one. I only been out of body once and all I have seen is a fish swimming on my floor lol. Thing was cool looking. I think someone on here might know but I am not the kinda guy who would know. I just thought the title of this topic was kinda funny so I had to give my input. Lol take care.

This is something I have pondered for a while now.  I am familar with the notion that we need to master our earthly desires in order to progress spiritually etc etc, however I am struggling with the theory that sexual desire is a problem.  I personally think that greed, glutony, jealousy etc are the things we need to master.  Lust, maybe - but sexual desire?  Im not sure. The only single thing that facilitates the ongoing opportunites (i.e. rebirth) for spiritual advancement is sex.  I just find it hard to believe that the one thing that facilitates our existence on earth, through which we grow spiritually through many reincarnations would be something that is frowned upon spiritually.  Seems kinda hypocritical.

I completely agree that the sexual urges when OOB need to be controlled to progress.  I mean whats the point of trying to grow spiritually when all you do when projecting is sexual? But I firmly believe that its akin to not getting drunk everyday or eating pizza hut 6 days a week.  Its self control, not a test.  You have the choice to ignore it or do it, neither is a wrong choice but the choice will affect how things pan out. 

Anyway, I cant pin this down very well with words but I want to summarize that I think that whether you choose to capitalise on the sexual opportunities when projecting or not, neither is wrong - but realise that your goals will be affected either way. My personal choice is that I have a stunning wife who I can express my sexual side with whenever I want (if she allows me -:) ) and that when I project I want to learn and progress in other ways, not sexual ways.  But if I thought different, I really dont think I would be failing a test.

Several authors on the subject have made mention of the connection between our non-physical experiences and our sexual desires.
Most agree that if you want to make any headway in using your non-physical experiences in any constructive way, you need to get past this physical desire for sexual gratification.

 I am amazed this topic has come up. For the last 2 weeks now I have been struggling with this, everytime I get to the Astral now there is a naked lady in front of me, trying to coerce me into sex. I immediately change the thought to something else, but this is a recurring problem. I have nothing wrong with sex, but that is not my goal at the moment. Now, I did notice that this occurs when I just Phase without a certain intent. I have been trying lately to just Phase and see what happens, so I guess this is where we go first. I guess it makes sense being male and all. I had an actual encounter the other day where I Phased into the real time zone (I don't usually go there), the first thing I saw is a beautiful naked lady getting ready to sit on my lap. This was as vivid and vivid could be. I am sure this another one of the many "tests" you find in the Astral, but intense sexual desire/lust has never been a problem for me. Oh well, live and learn!

I think I definatly need to get passed this one as every time I go with it I am snapped back to physical so I'm definatly not getting anywhere I dont even get to the sex part, its all the build up for nothing. this alone tells me it could indeed all be a test. It annoys me, it's  frustrating! the problem is that sometimes when I see a person I zoom in on them, they fill my vision and i find it hard to draw my attention away. I guess its just a matter of will power.

I recommend buying this book and read the section "Healing Addictions"   But for the sake of thoroughness I would advise to read the whole book so you can get the full breadth of knowledge.

The technique for removing all those nagging thoughts is described in detail, this worked great for me, except my issue was seeking need for approval.  I had to work on making affirmations every day "I release my need for approval"  and it took a few days but all good now!

Haha very funny but I dont actually have a sex addiction in waking life so would this book still apply to me?

Yes, in that book the author experienced what you are having;  he would act out sexual fantasies and the true issue was that for him, he had issues with not feeling worthy of love.

This is what I think as well. I've had my share of sexual experiences in the non physical, it's just too hard to resist sometimes. It's a primal instinct. I think it might be a test to see if you're ready to begin having deeper experiences in the non physical. Im starting to conquer these now after a concerted effort. Last night in fact I found I was in the astral(though I think I lost awareness and slipped into a dream). I saw a fairly beautiful young lady of my age, and she seemed to like me enough. I remember I hugged her and held her close, my vision started going, as if I failed a test and was being sent out, but I just held her in a hug for a couple minutes, nothing else, purely innocent love for another being, and slowly after a minute or so my vision came back and everything was normal again, it was really strange. I've never really completely lost my vision to have it come back before. I was very happy when it returned.

 I finally learned what the meaning was to me. Last night I Phased and did it with no intent. The naked ladies started to appear, but then naked men as well, I just let it go and stayed with the Phase/Experience. I finally questioned what I saw after about 15 minutes of being there, the answer that came was it was happening to desensitize me. Clothing is something we have here in the physical, there is a lot of different things in the Astral that aren't the same as the physical. Basically it comes down to we would expect, as it is done here it would be there as well. Once I let the experience play out, it didn't seem unnatural anymore. I guess this is another one of those strange Astral Lessons!

Im pretty sure I am stuck in focus 2 (well focus 1 when i first roll out but that never lasts long) anyway I have not knowingly created these characters, I actually no idea where they come from just all sorts of random every day people i guess. Also I am not choosing the sexual desire it just comes to me if that makes sense? I think I have a pretty well rounded physical life although things could always be better but im happy for now. A test seems plausible for sure.

I have never experienced sex addiction in the astral but it is true that some people have their sexual energy multiplied. William Buhlman wrote about astral sex in his books. you should have a look.

Almost always when I'm exiting I get hands touching me, (I hate that - blind!) I've learned to say, 'leave me alone!' even before I get my astral sight, and that seems to help. Then there is often some entity looking for sex, but for me sex in the astral is cheating, so I just firmly say I don't want this and it seems to be a trial of sorts, and I move on to other adventures...
