Ball of light in my room after OBE... followed by bizarre, waking hallucinations

When I came back from my OBE just now, I saw a ball of light floating at the end of my bed. I was pretty alarmed, and a bit scared. I was not in sleep paralysis at this point, and could move freely, but the ball of light remained. It only went away once I turned the light on. I turned the light off to see if it was still there, but it had vanished. Could this have been my guide? Balls of white light are normally positive things, right? So there is no need to be afraid?  :|

After noticing the ball of light, I tried to get up to get my laptop and email my boyfriend about my two OBES of the night, but suddenly my vision went...well... insane. Space seemed to morph drastically in front of me, it was like my room became a giant kaleidoscope. What is strange is that I was not in sleep paralysis and was still 100% awake and conscious, I could move freely. The only way I could describe this, it was like being on LSD or salvia... very much like salvia, as the room became full of fractals. I could see things, but they were so transformed. I'm wondering if this was my third eye, still opened from the projection?

Thanks for any ideas on what these phenomena could be.

I once had an encounter with a ball of blue light (http://otherrealityblog.blogspot.com/2009/01/confrontation.html) which I interpreted as my guide at the time. How did I know?  For one thing, it communicated with me for one thing. And at the time it happened, it seemed very familiar in some ways- as if I recognized it because it was connected to me.  At the time this experience started, I would have sworn that I sat up in bed to see it first, before it got to me.  But when I truly woke up later, the covers were very tight around me, and I realized that there really was no way that I had been physically sitting up, no matter how awake I seemed to believe I was at the time.

How did you feel about this at the time?  Did you ever feel that you wanted to communicate with it?

Did you feel uncomfortable with it there?
Did you feel anything negative?  Positive?

Valkry

It was accompanied by a presence. I didn't get the feeling that it wanted to communicate, though. I didn't get the feeling that it was malicious, not at all
I kind of had the feeling that it was a benign observer. I was a bit alarmed, a little bit afraid, but I did NOT sense any malevolence, so I kind of relaxed after awhile. It was there for quite awhile, just hovering at the end of my bed. I think it might have been my guide, just watching over me.

I'll get random stuff like that looking over me sometimes when I wake up in the middle of the night.
I've just kinda got used to it... I've never felt threatened or sensed anything negative, so I ignore them mostly.

But yeah, that's the right attitude... just ignore'em.  They're not gonna hurt ya.  :)

One of the things that I have learned in the many projections/experiences I've had in my life, is that the images/voices/information that you get in the liminal state are meaningless  about 85% of the time.  That's because the information that is stored in your (subconscious/or whatever you want to call it) can come from many sources- your memory of stuff that happened, your imagination, the commercial you watched three years ago, and the nonphysical.  So a great quantity of information/imagery is really random- so I just keep records and look back, to see what really has meaning other than the fun of it- and most of it doesn't.
Of course, it's awesome that some of it is meaningful and validating in some ways, but I take the zen approach- the fun is in the doing, the *cool* results are the icing on the cake.

.02 as usual.

Hi Valkry

My comment on the ball of light/energy that you saw is that your astral sight/clairvoyant vision was still working shortly after the OBEs. Your mediumistic sight was, for a short time, available while in the physical. It could have been a short term byproduct of the OBEs. Other people report seeing similar balls of energy while in deep meditation or trance or while doing energy work in a slightly altered state of mind.

Guide? You can call your desk a guide if you wanted, but a ball of light?

When you turned on the light, it probably lowered your light sensitivity so you couldn't see the orb after that. It seems to me that the orb followed you home after your astral trip, and later did something to your mind that caused the psychedelic visuals. Seems pretty harmless. It's rare but I've seen a few instanced where entities have toyed with people's minds while they're awake

If the ball was below your feet, it may have been part of the Vehram Array as described in the Vehram System.

Well i once had a similar experience, but i saw a green sphere-ish object that threw some lightning around (i was fully awake at the moment).
It dissapeared and i thought it was over, but then a message showed up in front of me (green also)

It talked about a retrovirus that couldn't be cured lol... i dont know if this was a special experience or just a bad dream made up from movies i have seen, hope was the latter

PS: I just noticed this didnt really help you much at all, my point is that this happened 2 years ago and never had it again, nothing happened. So you just have to move on!

SkepticBoy

My guess would be that it was some form of hallucination after your OBE.

What exactly is a hallucination?

ka0s

Its very clear to me what you were experiencing after waking up. Do research into hypnapompic/hypnagogic hallucinations. I experience these many times upon awaking after an OOBE experience. For example I have woken up and had these hallucinations and would stand up and walk over to where I would be seeing them to then notice them disappearing. From all of your posts--These seem to be bi products of your medications.
I wandered slowly there
I saw a field where a thousand corpses lie
Angels sang the hymn of the end
About monsters which they fought
Over our world

hal⋅lu⋅ci⋅na⋅tion

–noun
1.    a sensory experience of something that does not exist outside the mind, caused by various physical and mental disorders, or by reaction to certain toxic substances, and usually manifested as visual or auditory images.
2.    the sensation caused by a hallucinatory condition or the object or scene visualized.
3.    a false notion, belief, or impression; illusion; delusion.

The dictionary says we're deluded.  That's if you call this type of phenomena an hallucination as opposed to say, astral sight.

kurtykurt42

That's my point... Is this taking place inside of our mind ( which would make SkepticBoy right for once  ) or is it a real phenomenon that exists in 4D space / time on the astral / higher planes which can be seen with our third eye / pineal AKA Astral vision?
