a spontaneous start

I had a little spontaneous start of OBE this morning. Spontaneous, because I've stopped all OBE/LD training since 1 month ~ 1 month and half, feeling the need to ground more. I had no intention to resume (and still don't have for now). The only unusual thing I did that night was that I sincerely prayed for help before drifting off to sleep, asking that guides help me during my sleep time (but not for OBE stuff)

This morning at 6:30am, I found myself dreaming about OBE. I was flying out-of-body in a kind of garden, trying to avoid being seen by some people. At one point, I became lucid and realized that my astral legs were rising above my bed, so I got them back feeling the position a bit weird. Quickly resuming the dream, I met a friend who told me about his nice progress in intuitive practices. I thought to myself "wow that's cool... and me, I haven't even managed to do an OBE yet!". So I decided that after all I could do it now. I became lucid straight away and felt my whole astral body clearly detaching from my right side and rising, accompanied by a very soft "cracking" sound. Also my vision opened and felt as if I was looking with my physical eyes. As I reached what might be 1 meter further, I heard a voice in my head, very clear as if I heard it with my physical ears, it said slowly "You move" (in English despite I'm french). I remember that - funny enough - I found this normal that I could hear non-physical sounds in that state. At that point, I thought that I would certainly project to the garden if I continued (my lucidity probably weakened) so I snapped back gently in my body. I switched on the light, pondering what happened. I noticed that I was very calm.

The weird thing is that I have no conscious remembering of opening my physical eyes as I snapped back. All really felt as if I had projected wide awake with my physical eyes remaining open until the very moment I switched on the light! The transition astral sight/physical sight may have been really prompt. This is the first time something like this happens to me.

Also, about what I heard I'm not sure whether I was encouraged to move away or if this was a remark made to me for another purpose (possibly to warn me).  "Now, move" or "You're moving away" would have made more sense, don't you think so? Can this be that I distorted the sender's thought? I wonder.

Despite my will to stay away from OBE at the moment, I'm glad that I had this experience. And this adds a little experience to the countless ones in the forum ...

I've never had the cracking sound, but I believe it is very common.

Also my vision opened and felt as if I was looking with my physical eyes.

This interests me the most because during so many of my OBEs, I am aware that my eyes are closed (my astral eyes), and yet I know instinctively that if I open my astral eyes, it will be my physical eyes that open, so I tend to go around blind.  Perhaps I've created my own self-limiting belief and I ought to open my astral eyes, even if that means cutting the experience short due to my physical eyes opening.

That's interesting.  And in English - strange.  Did you pick up any impressions from the voice?  I tend to know the gender/age and how friendly they are.  Was it said to you?  Or just said out loud?  I often hear voices just before/during separation and most of the time they are not connected to me.

I remember that - funny enough - I found this normal that I could hear non-physical sounds in that state.

Another interesting point.  I'm always amazed at the things I find normal and natural in a certain state.  When fully physical, I wonder why I didn't find it unusual.

I've read accounts where people have projected with their physical eyes open.  However where you say that the transition may have been really prompt - I do know that when I use the term, "suddenly I was zapped back to the physical", it is instantaneous in that I have no sensation of movement from my astral body to my physical body.

I guess anything is possible.  The voice may have been yourself, that's another possibility.  I wouldn't dwell on it too much - these voices are best ignored in all honesty.

That's always a pleasure to read from you.

I really could not say the gender. It seemed neither male or female.
My impression was that the voice was friendly.  And said to me, also because in my dream I was talking and thinking of myself using "I".
There's something I forgot to mention is that the "you" was very briefly distorted in the beginning, it really sounded like a radio whose frequency was adjusted, in some way the "y" was distorted and the "ou" (and of course the second word 'move') was clear. So, thinking about it, it might be that I had to reach a certain level of separation from my body to be able to hear, I possibly heard only the end of a sentence.
Now, as you say it may be that the voices are definitely not connected to me and the same kind of alterations that occurs in the hypnagogic state.

About the "cracking" sound, it felt like being unwrapped from the body. Despite this is smooth, it's quite a weird feeling to separate, isn't it
