Binaural Beats, in my opinion, are the coolest thing ever.  I am a starting muscian of 18 years of age, but i have already experimented with them, and have had some real cool funny feelings with them.
The only dangers i could see with listening to them, would be if you were listening to something with binaural beats when you were, say, driving a car.  If you let your mind flow with them, they can be very powerful.
Another danger would be to just listen to them for a couple minutes and lose interest.  If you are serious about using them, listen to them the whole way through, until you have had success, or even if you fall asleep (which is what usually happens to me ;) ).
Even if you don't experience any success with out of body experiences, or what not, they make a pretty damn good tool for falling asleep quickly.
My advice is to check them out, but respect them.

That was exactly my worrie too. I discover them before 1 week and i was so skeptitic if i should try them,if they are dangerous or something.
As i tried the one that promise obe imediately (oobe wav fie) i imediately felt symptoms of astral projection.
I couldn't believe it was working so strong!
They say for others work and others not. I supossed i am the lucky one :)
Now i have tried that anothers 2 times becuase i am still new to this binaural things.
From what i have talk to others who had tried them from years they say there is no danger only if you hear it while driving or doing something similiar becuase they make you instatly reeealyyyy relaxxxx.

The following people should not use brain entrainment products like BrainWave Generator:

1. People subject to any forms of seizures or epilepsy
2. People using pacemakers
3. People suffering from cardiac arrhythmia or other heart disorders
4. People taking stimulants, psychoactive drugs, or tranquilizers

If you fall in any of these categories, do not download or even try BrainWave Generator!
--------------------

Otherwise its perfectly harmless.

My view on why these things have been mentioned:

1. They are very sensitive to blinking lights so it should be the same if you do it with sounds, its better to be safe when you have these problems.
Most of these programs/machines have options for using lights to stimulate your vision to get the effect even stronger, it might be this they are thinking about when they warn these people.

2. Pacemakers are very sensitive equipment and are operating on its own rythm. If you use something to change your body so that your heartrate slows down more quicker than usual it might fail to operate.

3. If you have a heart that are very sensitive to change it migh flipout when you run too fast or use drugs that slows down your heartbeat faster than normal, should be the same with Brainwave entrainment.

4. Mixing different drugs together may cause strange things to happen to your body, you might burn things in your body that was not what you had in mind. Same should be with taking drugs while you are using Bwgen, can create strange behavior that may cause your mind to flipout.

If you dont have a heartproblem and are not using strange drugs and are not epileptic, then its all safe.

Hi

I'm pretty new to the group, so I apologise if this is a discussion you've all had way back.

I have tried BW Gen, and I've heard of lots of people creating Wav files with frequencies to induce the vibrations, & altered states of counciousness, & it excited me at first, until I saw a warning from someone on another list, about serious potential dangers.

Is this a kind shortcut to proper energetic development, do you think, and could it therefore cause all kinds of problems, like a 14 year old lad getting into a high performance sports car??

Until I am sure of the answer to this, I for one am not going to Dabble, I am going to stick to the methods that people like Robert Bruce, & Robert Peterson advise.

What do you all think?
