Sounds like you had vibrations. These vibrations often lead to an OBE/AP, so you were probably very close to have one.
I don't do much, and I do it well.

Heh, you know the same thing happends to me when I lay down to try to project, I get all relaxed and I get these vibrations. I think to myself "I havent done anything yet, how could I be ready to exit?!?". So, today when I attempt it if I get those wierd vibes again as soon as I lay down, Ill try an exit technique and tell you if it works. Who knows, maybe were a nutural! (Boy that would make my day, it would also leave me dumbfounded as I have been trying for 6 months...)

i smoked weed for 11 years (every day, once or twice) and decided to give up about 8 weeks ago now.  (Amazing what the world is like straight, now I rememba why i smoked!)

the point...heh...I experienced the shaking feeling - vibrations - have had them many times in my past but always freaked out, thinkin it was a nightmare - anyway, after goin straight, I decided to follow through, see where it lead, and found myself lookin down on myself (that does make sense rite)

anyway, i have done this a number of times since, and have never struggled to exit my body when I get vibrations.  Getting vibrations is a little harder, but im workin on doin it at will, and am makin progress.  

Still can't project far - have made it about 100m from my house.  Two nights ago, just before I exited, I heard a loud noise, almost like a 250cc engine (cant hear street noise from house either).  Up until then, I had only ever felt the vibrations.

I didn't know what was happening to me until wonderful Google explained all.

If it is any help, exiting is easy for me, as I don't think about exiting.  Once I get vibrations, I just expect to, and I do.  What i *do* want to figure out is how to make the OBE last longer before bein pulled back in, and how to go further.

It is good to see that old veterans like we are still able to project. I advise you to check this out:

Lucid dreams / intermediate projections:
- zooming on distant objects in a row (at least 3-4 times)
- getting back your body in the opposite direction, with the intent of internal projection and reseparation (not well tested in all types of projections)
- regularly observing details of various objects at very short range (will dramatically increase gamma brain activity, causing powerful lucid dreams)

Astral projections:
- flying upward (if you survive it, your subjective time is protected by relativistic time distortion, but you will suffer from weak memories)

Ok.. I have a question...

I laid down to go to sleep.. Well as soon as I laid down my body started shaking.. It felt very funny.. this was all happening when my eyes were wide open.. as soon as I laid down on the bed...  Does anyone know what this means??
