Ahhhh, thank you for the nudge, Lu! Right after I read this I booked a whale watching cruise for this weekend  :-D
And when I thought about it, the direction of the wind was actually towards the ocean.  :-o

Wow, I just looked at the map more closely and the wind was blowing at a perfect straight line towards the port from which the cruise starts. Mind blowing! I guess it takes a team sometimes to have us understand what we need to do. Thanks again, Lu :) I will let you know how the cruise goes.

Like the song from the 80's sitcom says, "Love exciting and new, come aboard, were expecting you. The Love boat ...  Lol  :-D  :-D  :-D

Thanks for the explanation of what "astral winds" are, it was a term that I never managed to understand well. I never felt this wind in the exit symptoms, but when my Guiding Force takes me from one scene to another, it is like a wind that blows strong and takes me through the air, but it is alive and has its own awareness and will.
In lucid dreams from more than ten years ago, a tornado/hurricane was carrying me and I felt like I was going to disintegrate into a white light... that my "individuality" was going to "disappear". At that moment it was terrifying, one of the scariest things I have ever experienced in NP. But today I see it as an invitation to experience a higher state of consciousness beyond the ego, which came years later. I wasn't ready at the time, but it was interesting and I think it happened more than twice.
I suppose this is also the astral wind? Don't know. Interesting that the movement in consciousness is interpreted as the physical wind (I love the wind) :-) .

I have had Tornados show up in my Dreams many times. I found them to be "board wipes" of a kind. I don't mean to sound insensitive to the realty of Tornadoes. They cause chaos, but also steer change. In my non-physical experiences I watch, helpless as a Tornado decimates a community. But then the scene switches to the future of that area. The carnage is over, and the area looks and feels different. It is peaceful and there is all kinds of re-growth there. The area is completely rebuilt. Many times, it will be completely different.

They are also very powerful "portals" that you can utilize.

Back in 2018 I wrote this short paragraph about Tornados in response to a quote by Nameless, in my Doorway thread.

"Nameless, there are many "vehicles" that you can use to cross "over"/exit. I experience "portals and vortexes" in many things. I finally gave in to Tornadoes and found that they are very useful to "switch the scene". We are always taught to fear them here in the physical and we should. So, that "carryover" was causing fear in the NP for me as well. Until that is, I experienced what lied beyond the Tornado. Then I saw that in the NP they are used as a form of a portal or vortex."

I have had some incredibly vivid dreams with Tornados in them. One being as recent as a month or so ago. I never made that connection. Interesting...

In those days of dream tornadoes, I did not use lucid dreams as part of a spiritual path, I was just doing it for fun. However, from time to time these kind of extraordinary emulated events would occur to create a change of consciousness in me. Awkening.
At that moment I was afraid, but if that light tornado returns, I will embrace it. Something very important was about to happen there.

The Tornado I recently dreamed of was enormous. Highly destructive and very close to me. It felt as if I was right in the movie Twister. It felt meaningful no doubt about that.

I've experienced Astral Winds (not the smelly kind, lol) maybe seven to ten times but in different contexts, so I'm not sure if they all qualify.
Most definite are the Winds that occur almost immediately within what I call an Etheric OBE which is almost always starting in my current bedroom- the Wind is inexorable in pulling me away and into another environment, where sometimes I manage to maintain awareness and follow, other times I lose awareness.

Then there are a few times I have become aware in hypnogogia and a procession of catcalls, noises, bangs and other distractions finally result in a crescendo of being in the center of a hurricane or tornado and just standing there, fighting my momentary fear and exulting in the storm encircling me until it finally fades...maybe that is not the Wind, just another Fear Test. Either way, it's pretty cool.

I can't think of an environment or simulation where a Wind or tornado has whisked me out of there, certainly many more gentle forms of portals have presented themselves.

I will add the idea not to mistake an Astral Wind event for the more subtle experience some of us call 'the Pull'...this is a much less powerful, yet unmistakeable inertial kind of gravity that 'pulls' you in a direction, often over a fair distance of hundreds of yards or miles...and into a new simulation or environment...it can be very noticeable or very subtle...but it is a fact to be aware of...it seems to be a part of awareness development

I will take the opportunity to remind everyone of the very best-known tornado transfer portal in movie history...
