I've been trying to get out of my body, I've lost all fear, and tried many techniques I feel the vibrations, and all but at last just when I think I'm about to get out I fall asleep or awake.

I've heard the sound but when I come back, not when I get out. And the other day I saw myself lying in my room but I'm not sure if it was an OBE or a dream, can someone help me?

i have exactly the same problems, just dont know what we are doing wrong  :? once i got the vibrations and everything and i felt like my astral body leaving the physical body and then somehow everything was black and i woke up !

Are u two doing it from the state of Lucid dream?

I usually do it before falling asleep, just relax and then try to stay aware during hypnagogic state. But I have the same problem, usually when the symptoms of OBE hit, I just become too aware of my heart beating or my breathing and that does not let me separate fully.  Maybe I need to practice more. At least the feeling of fear is as good as gone.

Yup I have the same problems, recently I've been able to let go of the fear better if I close my eyes and ignore the vibrations, at which point the vibrations become intense and I've had distinct feelings of movement usually to one side or another.  I believe I'm getting close!
If I open my eyes however that's when the fear grips me, because there's always about a dozen "ghosts" flying all over my room menacing me, I then have to mentally argue with them trying to convince them to leave.  Recently I did manage to banish them through sheer force of my will, but that drained all my energy.  Even if these are hallucinations they are terrifying!  My suggestion: keep our eyes closed!

I tryed it on day time and before falling asleep at night too, fear wasnt a problem for me yet, i think its just a matter of more practice, I'll try more often and then will tell u if I succeed.

Those ghosts are hallucinations, and nothing to worry about, though they may be freaky. They appeared when you opened your eyes, which means next to nothing because your mind could've thrown them in once they opened. If the stayed in the same spots, relative to the room, even if you moved your eyes, then it doesn't mean they are less likely hallucinations because your mind will pick up on your eye movements and deal with the hallucinations accordingly.

Think about it this way. If you are on the verge of sleep while this is happening, you're going to get some things thrown in visually and probably noises as well. It like being awake and asleep at the same time, you can get overlap. The only difference from dreaming, is that you are getting two different sources for the visuals.

If you fall asleep right on the verge of success, you might want to practice different levels of awareness during meditation.Try to bring your awareness down to a sharp, shining pinpoint, and then gradually out to full awareness.Keep doing this while in a light or medium trance. Then when you want to send your body to sleep, summon the level of awareness that will allow your awareness to remain, while you send your body to sleep.

This is a real balancing act though, and may take practice.I believe that is the "trick" to projection, unless you are a real adept, who can project at will, but that is very rare.

When you notice that you are starting to wake up too much, try deep relaxation, and maybe some stretching beforehand if you need to.This can often help a lot.

The fact that you've lost all fear-You should give yourself some credit for that.It isn't easy to achieve.it probably took me a full decade before I was absolutely fearless!

This might sound a little crazy to some people , but when I start having problems projecting.  I take a break from the constant trying.  I still keep the intention in the back of my mind and such but instead of trying to force it, I let it come.  This seems to work for me.
