Right now I have decided that my next move will be to meet my 'guide.' Everyone seems to talk about them but I'm not sure where to find mine. I have been out 18 times, mostly to the RTZ. (or,...something like it) and I'm curious whether I should just 'think/say' while in my room or around our town house development "Hello guide, I would like to meet you please come here" or something like that. Tonight I'll try that, but for those of you with active guides I'm curious at the process by which you met them and whether they will show up in my room or at my front door or what? I would appreciate any explanations someone could give. Thanks in advance.

I'm currently in the same boat as you right now.  In the past, I haven't had any success standing in a room and saying, "Guide, show yourself.  I want to meet you."

I think this is because even when I'm projecting, I still have trouble believing that things can appear in midair.  That goes to show how destructive assumptions can be for your experience.

However, the closest I came to meeting my guide involved a way for me to see him without having him appear in midair.  I was in the RTZ (like you), and I walked to my front door of the house.  I simply said, "When I open this door, I will see my guide outside."

So I opened the door and........nothing!  Just an empty street.  But just then, I saw a man drive up in a very sporty-looking car and park right in front of my driveway.  I walked over to him and we made eye contact.  He looked familiar, and unfortunately, I became too excited with the fact that I was possibly meeting a guide that I lost control and ended up back in my room.

So if that is any help to you, then run with it.  Just state your intent when you find yourself out that you would like to see your guide when you walk outside of your house, and then expect him to show.

There are many, many ways to give guides the opportunity to meet you for the first time.  Believe it or not,  I meet my guides just through a plain ordinary guided meditation.  Basically I used the same technique as Jeff, the only real difference is  I wasn't projecting.  I started out the mediatation by saying "I'm going to go on a meditation journey.

At the end of this journey, I will walk up to a large log cabin and inside this cabin I would like to meet you and you can meet me."
At the end of your journey, through the woods or over a mountain what ever, walk up to the door to the cabin count down from 5 to 1 and open the door.  They many be there or not.  If they aren't, that is just fine.

During the meditation if you start to feel a little lost trying to find the cabin, just ask for help and follow your feet to the cabin.  Or a little helper may present itself for you to follow. Just enjoy the journey and see the sights, a large pond here or birds flying above.   Anyway it is all up to you.

Some people may not agree with me that you can meet guides through a ordinary  meditation, but I did.  All though  I still don't see  great amounts of my guides  when I project, I know they are there for different reasons: watching over us, teaching us and guiding.

Best Wishes,

Tracy

Thanks for your help guys, I appreciate the input. Jeff, I've never even called for my guide, but I'm planning to, so far my projections are kind of streaky so I don't know when I'll be able to try again. However, I was an avid lucid dreamer prior to finding AP and much in the toltec art of dreaming tradition of creating objects and holding them there in your mind, I'm fully cool with something being created out of thin air in the astral, people talk about doing it all the time. For example calling for their sword or creating doorways and the such. I'm curious to see what will happen

Tracy,
I had never really considered the idea that you could meet a guide or so while doing a meditation. I have in the past (several years ago) had a couple of meditations which at the deepest points were visual (and also involved telepathy taking place) but it took roughly 4-5 hours before any of these type of reactions came. When you say look for your cabin or whatever, do you mean just sort of take the imaginary trip to the cabin like in franks TMI phasing technique, or do you mean once you obtain some sort of visual field while meditating? Feeling your feet in the grass picturing the cabin up ahead etc. etc.

Tracy

That's a good question, more like an imaginary trip. You are walking and creating an exerience for yourself to "find" your guides. By finding I mean creating your own path, your own way to the cabin.  I mentioned earlier about getting lost, there were times when I came upon a fork in the path and didn't know which way to go or the path stops all together and would have to ask for assistance.

In other times I guess the journey  isn't all imaginary because there were times when I imagined a stream to my left and another time I came upon a  tree that was blocking my path and it just kind of appeared in the way, this would account for the fork in the road to.

Now concerning the trip itself, it can be as short or long as you want, even as short as walking through the woods to the cabin in a meadow. That short. I use the traveling part of the meditation as a time to gather my thoughts and relax before I met my guides for the first time.

And another thing, the cabin can be any building you prefer to meet your guides in. Instead of a cabin, you might like a castle in the hills or what ever.

Best Wishes,

Tracy

I looked for a guide while obe, didn;t have an immeadiate response, then I realized that I am being guided from 'over my shoulder'-remember, you are guided whether you are aware of it or not.

In the world in general and in this nation
May not even the names disease, famine, war, and suffering be heard.
May virtuous qualities, merit, and prosperity greatly increase
And may continuous good fortune and subline well-being perfectly arise.

Thanks Ralph,
I guess the whole thing with guides is that I don't seem to feel much in the way of direction when I'm out. I'm just sort of like someone who woke up underwater, I can move around and see with clarity and stay out sometimes for extended trips or very brief ones until my attention wavers and I get slammed back into my body. I guess it would just change things if I saw an astral entity in the RTZ. I have seen a girl walking her dog in my development and my roommate returning from a bathroom trip. But, I've never seen an astral creature or astral fauna although I did survey the house for negs which I'm happy to report I didn't find any :) There have been a couple of odd projections where I wasn't in the real time zone where I briefly interracted with beings which did not seem all that human. (actually they were quite amused with my appearance in their library area, where they made fun of me, joked about how I had no idea why I showed up there, and quipped about me for not having enough energy to stick around longer) but at least in the RTZ, no encounters to speak of.
take care,

Hi. I have been reading your posts and I have had very simliar experiences as Tracy with guided meditation. For me I relax, breathe for a while, get into that very chill state...and then INTEND on creating as vivid imagery as I can (appealing to all the senses). Go about 10 minutes into the woods...see animals, smells, trees, lakes...and then come up to a cabin, or house, or anything you want really...and tell yourself that when you knock on the door and it is opened it will be one of your guides - if not your primary guide. There may be success and there may not. The one thing I read to make sure I did do during this was to intend on meeting/ seeing but not to CREATE an image of them...kinda let it just be on its own...and dont have EXPECTATIONS.
I have also done this with lost relatives and it works that way as well.

Now.. the thing is this...when its done..and I dont know why- maybe cuz this is all done over the canvas of a concious mind..it is definitely not the "Holy crap... that just happened!" that an OBE gives. There is definitely a certain amount of ...mmm...belief/faith that has to happen to convince yourself you met them. I asked them a coupla questions, met 3 of the 5, and the answers to the questions helped convince me more...it was sorta like the answers were not really a way I would speak or answer a question. So...maybe try and formulate a coupla questions to incorprate into the visualization and see what gives...good luck to you

and if you are successful at meeting/ hanging out with them on the Astral or RTZ..please let me know of the experience... that would be a gem-

lotsa love
