Ive got to be doing something wrong

(just to let you guys know i appriciate all the help thx!) Ok, so i can get my self into the deep trance state and i can start to feel myself fall (i dont really have a problem with my muscles tensing up) and i start to hear noises, my body goes numb and starts to shake, From here i have no clue what to do ive let my self fall and i just land right on my bed again and i do reality checks and im Awake?!? Any advice on what im supposed to do while im falling??

Not a dumb question at all!   In fact a very common problem many of us have.  Just last night I had to stop because of all the noises in my house (normal house sounds..lol) were sending jolts through me.  I didn't feel like bothering with having to work through it.. I was hoping for a quick and easy lift off, but phhhfft..nope.   And thus the key.  You have to be willing to just keep going and work through it. 

Might I suggest next time you feel yourself falling, you help that sensation along.  Feel yourself falling right through the bed.  Sink within yourself, if you get my meaning.  If that doesn't work after a few attempts, try relaxing on your side and when you get into the trance try pulling yourself out by literally grabbing at the carpet.  I know it sounds silly, but that has worked wonders for me.  OR... hmmm.. how about when you feel yourself go numb start saying over and over in your head something like "now I'm out of my body"  or imagine you're floating up.  That one is a good one too, but don't be surprised if you find yourself on top your head a few times before getting the hang of it. :lol:  That is a wild sensation and I, more than once, laughed myself right back to the physcial.  :lol:
