I see you've done a lot of research and have read other people's accounts of their own out of body experiences.

Blindness on exit is a common phenomena. It doesn't happen to everyone, but it happens.

There are several things you could try to get your vision back. You could try to see or open your eyes, you could demand clarity or vision, or you could move away from your body.

Lots of people find that when they're close to their body (within 20 feet, or so, is what I've heard) they're either blind, feel some presence, or feel like they're being sucked in.

So, if'n I was you, I'd try the whole moving away from my body first, then the others if that didn't work.

Oh, and don't worry about the layout of your room, if you're afraid of bumping into anything. Just think about passing through the stuff. I think that parts required, but I'm not sure. I remember when I got out last week, I didn't think about it, and I actually hit my head on something, and it hurt.

Aw! Thank you so much for replying! I appreciate your advice, it was all helpful and useable! (hehe)!

I recommend NOT to try to open your eyes, because everytime I do this, it causes my PHYSICAL eyes to open and brings me back to the physical immediately. For me it works best to think that I should see. Also, poor vision could be a lack of energy. Are you familiar with Robert Bruce's NEW system? It can help a great deal to raise energy before and even during an OBE.

Hi there Kel....

Everything Risu said above was pretty good advice.

For me, getting vision was the HARDEST thing to do, even harder than just getting out of my body.  Every now and then, I still have a little problem, so here are some things I do:

1) When I am out and not able to see, I usually try to FEEL something solid, just to orientate myself.  As an example, if I roll out of my body, I will feel for my dresser, then feel my way over to my door, etc.

2) Once I am orientated, I take 2-3 deep astral breaths.  As I breathe in, I feel myself becoming a little lighter, and a little more stable in this environment.  My vision usually kicks in at this stage as I become more relaxed.

3) As Risu said, I also try and get away from my physical body.  The more experience you get with projecting, the less this step really matters (as I can now see near my physical body without too much trouble).  However, in the early stages, I found that I needed to almost leave the room my body was in before I could see.  This may have all been just a mental stumblingblock, and have nothing to do with astral laws of vision.

4) As you breathe in the astral air, imagine your sight coming to you with each inhale/exhale.

Those steps work for me 95% of the time.  The other 5% is usually when I am disorientated or flying at lightening fast speeds through the black void, and in both instances, I have never been able to gain control of my vision.

Hi Kelly,

I find that I sometimes get out, or close to out, but not have my vision. I believe it's due to lack of energy; perhaps I didn't make the full transition to my astral body because I did not have enough etheric energy. I felt like I was lifting out, in other words, but I could not see the room around me because I did not have enough energy flowing through my chakras.

To increase that energy, I highly recommend you read up on and practice the NEW system.

Yeah, the whole trying to open hte astral eyes but opening the physical eyes side effect does seem to happen to people a lot. I just didn't mention it because I felt that if I had said something, they might not try it. Maybe if they try it, it will work for them?

I have no advice other than keep trying. This has happened to me a good bit, along with not being able to move. Maybe the 10 percent of really good obe's make up for the others-something they don't tell you in the obe books. Other people suggested  saying 'awareness now' which did not do much for me, but it may be worth a try.

May virtuous qualities, merit, and prosperity greatly increase
And may continuous good fortune and subline well-being perfectly arise.

Wow! Thanks, everyone has given great advice! I appreciate it. Now I have a few things to keep in mind next time I pop/roll out and cant see! Thanks a million!

very simple i had the same problem it happens for beginning ap's.  if you feel yourself out get away from the bed if you can the further away from your physical body the astral body vision may kick in afterwards if it does not then try pretending that there is dirt in your eyes preventing you to see and you are removing it by rubbing your eyes that has helped many times.  also good to know robert bruce mentions it is if you happen to eject from your body and part of you is stuck to the physical body pretend you are climbing a rope pulling you away that has helped as well.

This afternoon I decided to take a nap, after a few minutes of sleeping, I woke up to realize I was rolling out of my body! I was so excited! But after I was fully out I found I couldnt see...period! I tryed to think of the layout of my room...so as not to bump into anything, I think all the rationalization sent me jerking back into my bod, just to be rolled out two more times afterwards...both times not being able to see a damn thing! Can anyone tell me whats up???
Thanks!
