Two newbie questions

I don't have much experience yet, I've been out maybe fifteen times or so, but never more than a minute at most, due to me having encountered every rookie mistake/problem in the book (problems moving about, astral blindness, opening my eyes, rushing towards the mirror, getting too close to my body, etc.). Yesterday however, I did get the chance of looking at myself in the mirror before getting too close to my body again (doh!), and I noticed my hair was much longer than it usually is, and it was kind of flowing. Could this just be dismissed as the usual anomalies between the physical and etheric, or could this be what my higher self looks like or something like that?

My second question is about my first OBE (?) experience that I had about a year and a half ago, which was very different from the experiences I have now. When I leave my body now I very much have an astral body, and I walk around as usual. But in that first experience, when I finally exited, I found that I had vision even though my eyes were closed, and I may have been position slightly higher than my body was. But I had no body, and I could not move myself in any direction, I could only change my perspective, and it was inverted, e.i when I looked up the vision went down and so on. Was that what is really usually called remote viewing?

It's funny that you mention the hair thing, because I have had similar happen, except in my AP my hair was extremely thin (it's really very thick), almost to the point of baldness.

And as for the remote viewing part, though I am not all that familiar with the concept, in my few experiences with what I consider remote viewing the situations were just as you described (inverted perspective, no body whatsoever, etc). I don't have many OBEs like that, so I assume that it is something different all together.

I'm right there with ya. I've only had around 20 OBEs, all only about a minute or so long. The biggest thing to remember is to not worry about anything. If you take everything in stride and say to yourself, "I know whats happening, what should I do next?" You'll have a better time and have more control...If you want more control, remember to stay calm and just say to yourself, "I want control," its even better to just feel it rather then say it. Everything that happens, happens for a reason. I made the big mistake of worrying and wanting, which should of been accepting and being happy with whats coming; since I was worried about certain aspects, even though they were minsicule, they still affected me and prevented my journeys. Its all about your emotions and having full control over them; you're going to a place where everything is perfect, you have to be perfectly ready to accept that.

It sounds like you either did what's referred to as "phasing" or you were simply seeing through closed eyelids, but not out of body. This is normal.

When you remote view, you almost never have vision that clear. Remote viewing  consists of focusing on a target, and seeing symbols based on that target. The symbols are then decoded and used to figure out what the target is, where it is, etc.

Yeah I'm fascinated by mirrors. Usually i see a younger version of myself.  On one occasion I saw a nice looking blonde female (I'm male).  that was quite cool.....!  I don't think that what we see is actually our astral body, it's just a construct.  We don't actually need any body at all.  But if you're male i'd recommend trying to do the female gender shift thing (and vice-versa)!  I didn't actually do it on purpose, it just happened. It's very interesting because after looking in the mirror you get a bit of a shock, then look down and see a different body to the one you're used to!  I think other board members have morphed into various animals too...

mirrors in the RTZ tend to display any number of things, I really dont think that it has any meaning at all.  If you ask for something to be displayed in the mirror than I would think it may mean something, but that fact that you had longer hair.... not anything special.  I havent seen myself in the mirror before, usually there isnt anything there, but I did see myself in my turned off TV once and in the tv I was floating sideways and my arms where jerking around in all different directions and I was screaming.  It was kind of freaky.
