My understanding is that they are the same thing to a degree. Dreams are in fact memories of sleep projections and the difference between dreams, lucid dreams, and astral projection is how awake you are. But that's just my understanding.[

Both are related. The main difference is just a level of conscious awareness. In a lucid dream, people are usually aware that they are dreaming, and that they're reacting within a dream environment.

With astral projection, people know that they are NOT dreaming, and that their body is in a different location then where they are right now.

You can never explore it all since it is always changing, more things are added to it everyday just by people thinking. Fantasys that a person might have and made and other people have read that story then the more real it becomes. I don't really know if it would be possible, but you might be able to meet some game or anime characters since alot of people think about them. Could someone verify this?

Well, you might be able to find them if you just concintrate on what they look like and if they are APing then you might be taken to them, it is called Astral Travel and there was a web page for it, but I don't remember what it was called. You should do a search on it.
