I need a clearer answer for this question please.

Has anyone projected into a reality where they genuinely attempted altering it through feeling, intention, or knowing, but it didn't work? I understand these are thought to be different planes of existence. My goal is to become one with a planet, star, galaxy, the universe even. I want to experience consciousness from that perspective. If I find myself in one of these "denser" planes how do I move into a less "dense" plane?
