Has anyone had an OBE and were in the same physical reality as their body?

In my research(i'm still a newbie in this) I found out that people often astral project in to a place called "Real Time Zone" which is supposedly very similar to our own realm but not the same- has differences. I am wondering if anyone had a out of body experience and saw precisely that they were in the exact environment as their body, therefore perhaps, hearing or seeing cars go by their house, seeing living relatives or people going about their daily life, ETC.

An example of this, would be an OBE during a Near death experience people claim to have in which they see(often in an upper perspective) doctors and relatives around their seemingly dead body. But, the focus of my question is on OBE's caused by a meditative state. Thanks!

Hi Newbie, I'm still a bit confused by this whole RTZ thing myself. I had not heard of this or of anyone projecting near their own bodies til I came to these forums. Personally I found it rather silly but can see the value in learning to do anything non-physical.

I have many times projected to the 'here and now' (my term) exactly as is without the weirdness of things being different as many others experience. The one thing being I don't and don't see the point in doing so near where I actually am. Hell, I'm already there, why project at all, lol.

(Please note that the above is in no way meant to poke fun at those who do. I find their experiences wonderful and magical and amazing. I also very much recognize the effort and the value of learning this way.)

Also, please note that while I am not in any way new these ventures I am new to any discussion about this so my terminology may be off. My apologies, some of the definitions leave me scratching my head.

Remember, You came here to this physical earth to experience it in its physical form. NPR will always be there.

Once I've left my body, I'll be in my bedroom but once I get outside, my street will iether be there or not and then beyond this the environment is split into different zones and has the same familiar look to it all.

First, I always meditate before my OBE's. In OBE literature, Jurgen Ziewe is one of the better examples of meditating first (e.g., his OBE's arrived after years of meditating). His web site is here:

Second, my first conscious experience out of body was into the RTZ. I was in my bedroom (which is rather large) and my experience was that the terrain and structure appeared "almost exactly" the same as the physical version. However, I have also had experiences where the RTZ version of my room was not as stable (e.g., one experience there were "alive" bumps growing on the walls and floor so I did not exit). So, there are experiences (depending upon our focus) when the RTZ can be different than physical life. I would emphasize that it is our focus that most often determines these conditions.

To expand further, this first experience was unique (and the reason I mention it) in that I was not within my second body yet. To understand, my 2nd body was spinning wildly on the other side of the room. I was not in it because I had a used a chakra-focused meditation before going to sleep, HOWEVER, I did not ground my "bodies" during the meditation like I normally do. I had also used Buhlman's Target Technique to project myself across the room and away from my physical body before going to sleep. The technique obviously worked, I was just not a part of the ride across the room yet, so I was consciously awake and watching my 2nd body spinning on the other side of the room. William Buhlman has lots of free information (including techniques) on his web site:

www.astralinfo.org

The RTZ is the lowest level of non-physical experience. Therefore, I would suggest that there is less adventure in it. Although, I do consistently experience "zoom in vision" in the RTZ (e.g., where I zoom in with my vision only on an object that is a distance away), so there is fun stuff that can occur. I did this naturally during my first experience, and was able to zoom in on the details of my spinning body on the other side of the room. I also met my guidance in the RTZ a few months later (so important things can happen there, too).

Overall, we go to the levels (environments) that we can be consciously aware of (e.g., not that our biological brain is trying to figure out). It is about what we desire and intend. If you intend to figure it out (e.g., biological brain), you travel nowhere. If you intend to explore (e.g., conscious mind), you start having experiences. So, the warning that I would leave you with is do not have too many preconceived notions about the RTZ or other areas before you launch or project into them. A much more productive mindset for OBE's is a 'conscious focus on exploring new territory'. Buhlman suggest this consistently, and it is why I have mentioned him.

I had an experience which I was near the physical if no around here.

I was laying down in a truck trying to rest but I was holding my attention on the door of the truck. The door opens my mom returns from her doctors appointment I drive home. So I was laying on my side facing the front of the truck just waiting when after a bit I forgot about my physical body. I started having very short phases I don't know what to call them as they had a different vibe than the physical and not a dream, where It was like I fell asleep and dreamed for about 10-15 seconds then woke up and back and forth a few times. However every time I had a little phase I could see out my closed eyes so it was like I was dreaming of looking at the dashboard of the truck. I recognized what was happening and tried to balance it meaning getting back to these little areas and staying there with out drifting to full sleep or waking up fully. So after a bit I was attempted to move non physically and I popped out and went through the front of the truck and was floating in front of the truck. I looked around around the area... the parking lot sits on a small hill over looking a main highway and across the highway is a lottery billboard, to the left of that a small pond and behind the pond a neighbor hood. Further left is a intersection with 1 gas station. All around these things are woods, some farmland and such like that a bit of nature. That is the physical description of the area and I would easily say was the same when I was floating looking around. The only difference was the lighting was off like it was a bright hazyness like if there were clouds out but they were thin so the light still got through. And the sky was different everywhere you looked it looked like a purple cloud that had electricity bouncing all around sort of like the renderings of a brain where there are neural firings all over the place. I tried flying up because I wanted to fly out into space but bounced off the clouds and the experience ended. But as I was flying up I was partially looking down and saw a red semi truck at the intersection heading to where it was going to follow the highway in front of me it was the only red thing out side of the lottery billboard. When the experience ended I sat up and saw the truck passing by.

I don't know why people say that the RTZ is less adventurous I could easily find many things to do in such a place, fly around, go sit in on a lecture about something I wanted to learn, visit space.... list goes on.

From my experience the RTZ is the closest realm to our own 3th demension so everything will be most the same or at least very similar to the realtime zone and our own physical reality right now  but you never be truely in the physical realm in astral form since the 3rd demension and the RTZ are 2 different things well realms even
