Howdy all. This is my first post so I just wanted to say hello and to share my OBE experience.

I was reading "Holographic Universe" by Michael Talbot late one night after the wife went to bed. I read for an hour and started to get tired. Rather than go to the bedroom I decided to lie down on the couch. Later during the night, I was awoke by vibrations that were pretty intense. I thought to myself, "I feel like floating" and the next thing I knew I was on the ceiling looking down at my body! I was thinking "This is an OBE that I've read about. How cool is this?"

I decided to float around to see what I could see. Not knowing how to move , I decided to try swimming motions. I started to do the breast stroke and I was on my way! I made a loop around the living room and everything looked as it should except for a clock that appeared to be a painting instead. I went through the wall and into the bedroom. I could see my wife sleeping. I then decided to go outside so I floated up through the attic and onto the roof. I saw out into the yard and then I was pulled back into my body. I thought to myself that it wasn't long enough so I willed myself back out and I found myself flying above a road that I've never seen before. I was following a car while doing the breast stroke for forward momentum!LOL  The ocean was to my right and there were palm trees lining the highway. It was also broad daylight and beautiful! I went for several miles and then I was pulled back to my body.

How exhilarating this experience was! I've tried several times to OBE since then but nothing. I've come close but it is very difficult to sustain the vibrations or to feel them with any intensity. I guess practice will get me there eventually.

Thanks for taking the time to read!

That is great! It sounds like you had a pretty exhilarating 1st experience. I admire the swimming technique. Somehow you managed to project yourself to the beach. For a beginner that is rare. I hope to hear some more fascinating stories from you!    Happy Astraling!

Hi,

Welcome to the AP forums!  :)  Thanks for the introduction and also for sharing your obe experiences. We'll look forward to your participation here. Also, take some time to look over the many different subforums here. We started as an obe forum however we're much wider and broad based now.

Very best,
Nick
