I hope I have posted in the right place. Hi everyone, I am new to this site & I know I am going to enjoy reading your posts.

I have always been interested in OBE & Astral. I have never be able to do it though. I think the main problem for me is my sleep pattern. I don't sleep till the early hours & then I'm awake early. I need to work on this. It's been like this since I was a kid.

Well I was chatting to a friend & they have OBE most of the time. She told me that I have to relax & completely let go. Well a few nights ago I tried. I went to bed at 2.30am & just laid there chilled out, well within minutes I felt like I was moving from my stomach area very fast, & I was reaching the top of my head. It was a weird feeling & it happened very fast. I knew I was coming out of my body. The thing was, my body was really still but something inside was coming out & I knew it was me, if that makes sense. Then I got this dizzy feeling in my head so strong & it was when I was just about to come through the top of my head. I opened my eyes, I got a little scared, but then I got upset with myself for doing so. I wish I had just gone with it. But it happened so fast & the feeling was strong. I have never had this happen before.

Was I starting to have an OBE?  Any help with this would be great. Thank you for taking time to read this. I look forward to reading your replies  :-)

Sounds like you fell asleep into a pre-projection state or 3D blackness. I did this naturally as a child and from experience you typically always end up in a projection unless you pull yourself out willingly. Congrats.

Thank you Astral, what do you mean by 3D blackness?
Wouldn't I be able to see anything? The other thing, if I don't pull myself out willing, would I remember being in a projection?
I'm sorry to ask so many questions, I am trying to find as much out as I can. That is amazing to know that you was doing this as a child. Did it scare you when you was a child? I'm looking forward to the day when I can do what you do. It must be a great feeling.
Thanks again.

You're welcome. 3D Blackness is pretty much just that... pitch black with depth like you're in a room with no light, sort of. Here, you're usually thrown into a projection without too much effort. Other times you sort of have to focus hard once in the pre-projection state to get out of body.

If by "pull out willingly" means to use an exit technique (and not to eject from the experience altogether like how I meant the phrase) you will remember the experience to some degree.

And yes it did scare me when I was a child... I always ejected from the pre-projection state out of fear so I didn't get to experience much but obviously in retrospect I'm glad it happened.
