Out of body sight?

First of all welcome!

I personally haven't experienced seeing through my eyelids but I have read quite a few people saying they have experienced it.

I, too, practice energy work before sleeping because it takes me so long to fall asleep.  I often listen to hemi-sync or some other repetitious cd such as Eternal OM.  I was listening to my tape and became aware that I was having a lucid dream and could still hear the cd.  Suddenly, I could "see" the wall behind my main kitchen counter.  It wasn't "seeing" like in one's imagination, but was actual remote viewing of that wall.  It appeared to be in a yellow haze with soft focus, like special effects in a movie.

I've had several OBEs and have projected only to have it end when I tried to open my eyes and see through the blackness.  This time I could really see; I was aware of my body on the bed of the tape playing in my headset, yet I was standing at the counter and could see the wall and all that sat on the counter.

I would say you experienced the opening of your third eye chakra.  

We have so much in common.  I lost my best friend in July.  My meditations have mostly ended in tears the past few months.  Joint pain keeps me from entering a trance state easily and it takes me an hour or more to fall asleep.

Had that happen many times. Actually it is very interesting as sometimes things will appear into sight and then fade after some time.

i also do beleive its you opening your third eye, forhead chakra,

because that happens when you concentrate on looking in front of you when you have your eyes closes, such as when you know whats there so you soon are able to see what is ther through your third eye, and also understand that is your only eye, they 2 physcials just show a short range of what you can see through your third, but just cause you are still in the physical and looking through the third eye you see what you would see with your 2 physical eyes open, if you really work on that, soon you can do it really easy, and its a nice skill to have

I wish I had the 3rd eye open. How do I go about this?

a technique that i use to work with my thrid eye is like this...

1) i relax my body and concentrate on that high pitched noise just so i can clear my mind

2) i think about where i am in my room and what i WOULD be looking at if i had my 2 phyiscal eyes open

3) then i concentrate only on my third eye, which is located in the center of your forehead, between your eyebrows but above that spot slietly.

4) then i soon come to relize that im looking straight in front of myself with my phyiscal eyes closed

This is the technique i use, and most of the time i only see in front of me for short periods of time, and even once i think i started to slip away from my body because i started to see really werid colors, and something i cant explain, i was seeing a pool of colors and an eye looking thing floated by me and like came across m vision and then i woke myself up cause i was frightneted...

has that happened to any1 else b4?

Hello all, I'm new at posting here but I've been lurking for a while.

Anyway . . . a few months ago, a very close friend died, and I basically lost all my focus. Couldn't concentrate on anything at all, let alone meditation or energy work. Over the last couple of weeks, though, my focus seems to be coming back. Last night I was able to do proper NEW-style energy work as I was falling asleep (I have various sleep problems, I find energy work is a great way to help).

After I had some very soothing energy pumping round my body, I got uncomfortable and had to move to my side (I also have joint problems, staying still can be painful). I decided to stop with the energy work and just drift off to sleep. After a little while, I noticed I was actually seeing things in my room - all from the same place as my head was, but mainly from different angles. I thought at first my eyes had opened without me realising, but they were definately closed.

I think it was some kind of "sight out of body" experience, in which I was seeing through some energy equivalents of my eyes without entirely realising it; has anyone else had similar experiences?
