The ftp site does indeed work because many people have been hitting it and downloading with success. I bet your work has ftp disabled for generic user access.

I'm actually flattered that my journals will make a camping trip. Just don't sing Kumbayah around the camp fire with them..:)

If you've problems using IE or yuor browser of favorite, try this to connect my ftp site.

If you goto http://www.globalscape.com/cuteftp/ - download cuteftp public - its a 30day trial. Setup the client with the information given

Make sure that the configuration for ftp is set to passive mode. Its somewhere in the settings and usually is standard by default. And then, I think you will be set. Let me know otherwise. I've had no problems what so ever downloading thru the IE browser or ftp client. I'm planning when I find the time of creating a simple basic web site that will have the journals w/o having to use ftp. Make it easier.


Let me know if this method works better.

Nahhhh .... CuteFTP is bulky and paid. Better get something light and free like:

Filezilla
TrueDownloader
WinSCP

Those are completely free.

I finally figured out what my problem was. I run an extra security program called "Protowall". It's an IP blocker and was blocking "Applied Business Computers" when I would access the site for some reason. After that, all was good. Now to start reading...
