Remain calm, passive, and curious. Assume nothing! It really is very important, no matter what you see, no matter what you experience to remain calm and passive and to assume nothing. Be curious and try to learn from whatever happens. Are you just assuming what you have seen are evil entities?

You have something to learn, that is why they are there. What exactly is up to you to find out, but it is most like the "Dweller on the Threshold". The Dweller on the Threshold is there to test you, to teach you, to ensure that you are ready to explore the Astral worlds. Some see this/these entities and some do not. It will not hurt you, but is there to make you face your fears. If you cannot overcome this fear you are not ready for the astral. When you are no longer afraid you will no longer see the Dweller and can move on to exploring the astral.

1)is there anyways that sleep paralysis can cause posession?

No

You have nothing to fear but fear itself.
Alice had got so much into the way of expecting nothing but out-of-the-way things to happen, that it seemed quite dull and stupid for life to go on in the common way.

Hi T_Kman!

Sleep paralysis can be a bit daunting. There are times when I am aware of it and other times I just pass it over unnoticed, I do prefer the latter..lol
What bothers me about the paralysis is well, obviously I feel very vulnerable and everytime it happens there is a woman or man standing less than five feet away and the fear comes crashing in and my instictive "fight or flight" kicks in.  I have been working on this fear for awhile now and am pleased to say have made a break thru..whoo hooo!

I say this because a few nights ago I found myself in the paralysis state with a woman standing there!  Ok, so at first it scared the crap out of me..Hehehehe, but I controled myself easily enough and got up to check things out.  Once I got up (which was very easy this time, ppl who have read my older post know that I had been having problems with this.) At once I forgot all about the woman who had been standing there.
But....of course another problem reared it's ugly head..I couldn't see squat!! Dark as it could be..[:(!] Took all the fun out of it!  I was feeling my way around and trying to get my bearings and it just wouldn't work.. I ended back in my physical and thought, ok...I will try getting out another way, so I did a back flip out..lol (have to say that was fun!)  but back to the darkness I went..arrghh!
This went on and on.. up down, up down,...I finally gave up and woke up.
Each one of my experiences have been different and I have learned from each, now if I could just get all of the pieces to fit together I think I will be on my way!

The thing that was different about this one of course was the "sight"
I am curious as to why I could see when I was in my body but the minute I got up the darkness came?  Perhaps someone can shed some light on this for me... (hehe, no pun intended)

P.S. I don't believe the woman was there to hurt me.. I think it is just a normal emotional reaction to be afraid.  It takes time to get passed it, don't give up T_K!! [^] I know I'm not!!

Fallnangel, you helped me realize something by responding to T_Kman's post.  I've always heard of everyone experiencing a presence or dark entity nearby but I never experienced that, I always wondered why.  Now, I've noticed a correlation between fear and the presences (mouth full).  Maybe me not being afraid of the experiences, the guides feel I am ready for Astral exploration.  I have never felt fear during my experiences hence never felt any presences.

Nay, you are having the same exact problem I am.  I CAN'T SEE!  I see, well okay, when I'm lying in bed with vibrations going but once I think I'm astral traveling, forget it.  I can't see nor can I move well.  For some reason my astral body wants to walk on a hardened floor instead of floating or gliding.  Makes for a challenge as I'm walking as a baby first learning to walk.

Anyways, both of you had good points that I had to respond to [;)]

Hi

What r u guys saying i thought sleep paralasis was a natural part of projection every time i project my body is paralised. first i get vibrations and then heavy waves comes over my body and i become paralised then i'm able 2 project

Sleep paralysis is starting to tinkle me off.  I've been out only 3 times and have ruined 100+ projections because when the vibes come I panick every time I get paralyzed.  I can't move and it feels like I'm being pulled away but I doubt it has anything to do with possesion besides I come back safe every time nomatter how scary it seems.

hmmmmm . . . yup . . . everything going according to plan . . .

good jobs everyone, keep it up!

_ sometimes we have to fail many times at OBE to get used to the feeling, so we are not afraid.  Don't think of them as failures so much as practice runs!

hello everyone
I am somewhat new to the forum but have to say I've been lurking around reading stuff. I do however have to say that I am a regular sleep paralysis/OBE experiencer. Ive had Sleep paralysis most of my life(I am 37 now) and up until the point in my life where I learned what sleep paralysis was, I no longer seen the dark entities..I have to say its been a couple years since anything threatening has happened, though once in awhile something odd will happen like for instance I recall not long ago a woman singing but I could not discern where it was coming from and I found that it scared me, but a majority of my experiences now are just where I am paralysed and can see my surroundings and thats when I can usually OBE but found that it has gotten more difficult to acheive an OBE..usually by the time I realize I'm in sleep paralysis, the paralysis passes and I wake up..very frustrating because I really enjoy my OBE's. I also did an interview for Discovery channel on sleep paralysis about 2 years ago but thats a different topic altogether[;)]

Sleep Paralysis sucks!  I have been having these episodes for about 25 years-sometimes I will have multiple episodes in a night-I never had any clue that this could somehow be related to OBEs-but after reading up and some real strange and precognitive dreams I think it is possibly related-I have always felt thr vibrations before falling asleep and remember feeling I was levitating before I would sleep-I also have lucid dreams which I become fully conscious in and will be able to do things only because I know I am dreaming-but, i never really tried to have them or OBEs-they just seem to happen and somehow while Im dreaming I become awake.  The thing is-sometimes I dont want to have them-sometimes I really need to rest and I feel like I am becoming sleep deprived-i will think I am awake and start to try to go to the next room only to wake up a few seconds later and realize I was physically never out of my bed at all. Is this a false awakening? I can tell when this happens because I will wake up after a couple hours and feel like I was asleep a very long time and remember very vivid dreams-but I wasnt asleep long at all! Also I get sleep paralysis before I wake up-it doesnt scare me so much anymore because I know what it is-but it is frustrating...advice[8)]
