Lately my life/job has been busy.  I have not had much time to practice anything and really have not had the energy.  So trying to OBE when I go to sleep or when I wake up, I just hit the bed and I am out, and when I wake up I dont even care to try.  I have taken a 4 day vaction from trying.  I know 4 days is really nothing, but looking at my schedule I might not have much time to practice.

How do you get by every day/life distractions.  I feel drained at the end of the day and just want to go straight to sleep.  Though I will say, since I havent been practicing, I have had amazingly vivd dreams.  I am just to tired to think or try to find my own answers and would like some advice!

Thank you

Try practicing "New Energy Ways" at work if you can. It'll give you something productive to do, in regards to astral projection.

N.E.W. is taught in detail in Robert Bruce's book: "Astral Dynamics".
THE ANSWER PARADOX
The answer to all paradoxes shows this: "Reality contains logic therefore logic cannot contain reality."
The paradox here is "how can one know this is true?".

If the answer to one paradox is another then the question is the answer.

Oh I have been.  I try to set aside 10 mintutes for this everyday.  But it takes alot of energy, I try doing energy breathing when possible, but I use it all.  My schedule for the past few weeks as been get to work at 7:00am - leave anywhere between 7:00pm-10:00pm.

If you really are a starving percussionist you will understand.  I teach music at a highschool.  So with rehearsal afterschool, All-State, and meetings it gets really busy

i've had to set aside that which exceeds meeting my basic needs.  for example, i pay my mortgage, buy food, pay for gas, etc., but i don't spend vast amounts of money beyond meeting basic financial needs.  i used to be a corporate workhorse, but now i try to live the simple life, so i have some time and energy for spiritual pursuits.  i still go to the gym and exercise and do some reading too.  those are important to me.

Ah...but music and teaching are very important to me.  I wouldnt give it up for the world.  My environment that I have created is not suited for meditation/relaxation.  My wife and I live in a small apartment with a 2 year old.  I cant set up a place to meditate or practice because there simply isnt a place to.  I practice in my bed most of the time.  Sometimes at work when there is a lull I  can sneak off and practice, but rarely.  Then when I get home I am tired and most of the time fall right to sleep.

I might have to put this off until Summer.  I will have much more time then

NEW is about raising energy, not about using it.  When you say energy breathing, do you mean the full body circuit? (Energy Raising)  Because you don't need to meditate or have quiet when you do it.  However you do need it for a projection attempt.  That's when meditation becomes valuable.

Same here. I have a lot of assignments due in high school. Weekends are the only free time I have and thats if I don't have stuff to do.

When you're doing what you love, you're not missing out. I've had to put practice aside during busy parts of my life (6 months at one point), but always come back to it. Physical life is just as important as the rest of it.

Hi,
I have the same issue with busy life.

l've put aside meditation practice for a while. And it is ok :-) I've been really enjoying my busy life!

Now I want to come back to at least once a week stopping all that I am doing and just devoting some time to meditation and oobe.
I remember how exciting it was.

I bet this is a problem that many, many people have. And finding a solution to this "time" problem might be a very good idea.

Here some ideas that came to my mind:
"Book" some time out of your busy schedule for yourself only...like 1 hour or 30 mins per day. Then get outside (or go to the bathroom) or a spa? Nearest coffee shop? Library if you have one close..
Request that your employer provides you with a relax room?

Can you sneak away for an hour during the day?
Arrange with your wife one evening off per week for her and one for you. Then go to the library. Or to a friend were you can listen to hemi sync.

Anyone any other ideas?

I will try some of the above ideas to see if they are realizable. Hope this helps you, too..
