Something grabbed me and it hurt

So I've had things latch on to me before while I've been out of my body. I'm not really sure why, but it seems to cause me physical pain. Last night was one the worst experiences I've had with this. I was unable to see what/who it was, but something grabbed me by both of my wrists and clinched on very tightly to the point it was very uncomfortable.

Well I'm pretty good at not getting scared about things. I've run into some crazy stuff, and I'll just ignore it and usually whatever it is that seems "evil" or "negative" will just go away. I'm almost am cocky in a way when I deal with negative stuff, because I know that they really can't hurt me, and if worse comes to worse, I can just return to the physical immediately.

So here's what I did (in this order) when it wouldn't let me go

1. I began cursing at it and said, "let me the "f*ck go!" Well, that didn't work, so onto plan "B"

2. I said "In the name of Jesus let me go" (I'm Catholic so I figured if it was something demonic, it would have to obey me) Well, that didn't work either

3. So then I yelled at it to reveal itself- I couldn't see what it was. At this point, I saw a pair of arms from the elbows down, muscular & white. It still wasn't letting me go, and causing a great amount of discomfort

4. So I mustered up all my energy and pried the bastard's hands off of my wrists. Then I decided to "click the ruby slippers" and return to my physical body, because I wasn't getting a good feeling about this whole situation.

So here's the deal- I'm really mad because it's rare I get out lately, and when I finally do, something negative has to latch onto me and ruin my experience! I know I have to take the good with the bad. I've had more good experiences than bad, so I guess I should be greatful for that.

So here's my questions:

Has anyone had similar experiences where something had latched onto them? I know they're referred to as "hitch-hickers"

What's the point of them wanting to latch on to you? Can't they move around on their own?

How is it possible that it is causing me physical pain when I'm not in my physical body?

Why is this happening? (and don't tell me that "like attracts like" because I am not evil like this whatever it was, is :-))

bondgirl3007, sorry about that. I will not hold on so tight next time. LOL.

Actually that's kind of cool. Not that something grabbed you, but that you actually felt pain, this would indicate that one might feel more pleasurable sensations as well.

Recently, I saw a black shadowy figure trying to approach me and I did what you did the first time.  I bucked up and cursed at it in a very hostile tone and told it to get the f*ck away from me!  It left me alone.  Later, I was worried that I might have been hostile to a good spirit and felt bad.  But at the time, I sensed it was an evil spirit trying to latch on to me and that's why I became very angry and hostile toward it.  I now think I was right to react on my initial instinct.

As far as feeling physical pain, one time I had left my body and flew into my son's room to see what he was up to.  He was sitting at his computer watching YouTube.  I remember placing my hand up to his face and when I did, the tip of my pinky must have went into his mouth because it felt like someone had bit down on my pinky finger.  I felt the actual sensation of being bitten.

Another time, after I had left my body, I could feel the sharp corner of the table that my TV sits on digging into my hip.  I flew away from it and the pain stopped.  I've also felt my head bumping into the wall as I'm trying to exit out of my room to the outside.  Also, my apartment has one of those popcorn ceilings that were very popular in the 70s (when my apartment was constructed).  As I was flying up past the ceiling and into the sky, it felt as though some of the debris from the popcorn ceiling had gotten into my eye.  Has anyone else felt any physical sensations while out of their bodies?

THanks UmmaGumma for your response. That's very interesting!

Does this sort of thing happen often?
I haven't heard many accounts of something like this happening.

Negative encounters Do sometimes occur during OBEs. When it happens the most effective course of action is to try several different courses of action.
Try to talk to the entity.
Try to be firm with the entity.
Then command the entity to leave.
Then threaten the entity with violence.
Finally, if none of the above have worked, it is the old FIGHT or FLIGHT option. Either blast the energy with whatever weapons/magick/psychic forces are available or leave immediately.

The above progression of options should ensure that you do not attack a friendly discarnate.

You can do that?

Hi,
The best way to avoid such experiences is to have your energies organized and balanced as a matter of rutine. That way the mind is clear and sincronized with the heart.

Clean you room and house with real intention, not just lighting incense the mechanical way, and everything will run smooth and easy. The same way you clean the fisical things in your house, you need to clean the energy things too.

Clean, organized and beauty places are the best for good APs experiences and for any spiritual practice.

Hope this help.

I've felt pain before too, myself.

I've had a cat attack me, bite and claw at me.
I felt it perfectly.
I felt the pain, but it wasn't painful if you know what I mean.

I also got in a knife fight with two or three witch ladies.
I got stabbed and cut, yeah I felt pain, but again it wasn't painful.

Hopefully, you can understand what I'm trying to say.
