Hello Major Tom and all!

I completed Monroe's Gateway Experience at the end of March 05.
All I can really report is that it is what You make of it, and it certainly is a very personal experience; no one experiences the same. We all have different 'missions' to accomplish as well as being at different stages of our spiritual development.

For ME, Gateway was very personal and I found that I had personal issues in what I consider the everyday drudge of 3-D, 5 senses, life. Once I overcame and conquered these very deep-seeded issues, the floodgates opened (and on the last day!). I knew NOT to go into Gateway with expectations, and just to trust that my higher self/guides, etc would take care of me. My responsibility was to come, to trust and have the faith in them to lead me to my next step, next progression, etc in my development (if this makes sense!)

I was also fortunate to have 2 VERY experienced trainers who always would turn the question back at us; "What does that mean?" "Well, what do You think it means for you?"  This forced everyone to look inside and find answers. Too, the intense interactions with the other 'explorers' (students) would resolve many questions. Proves our answers are anywhere, when we ask, and when we are AWARE! (I could go on forever here!)

Yes, Gateway is (can be, was for me) a life changing experience, a confidence builder, and just the beginning.

A note to Andali; I FEEL for you and Know exactly what you are experiencing; as so many others are in the same boat!
Be patient and Trust your higher-self or whatever is comparable to you. On day 4, I (unadmittedly) had the same frustrations, so I gave in and my "Intent" became, "OK, What the H3LL is blocking me, what is my biggest obstruction preventing me from going anywhere (in Gateway)?" Ask and ye shall receive! In that session, I actually Met "ME", my higher self or some form of, and got the butt Chewing of my life!!! Wholly crow where is This coming from... and I was too vapor-locked to consciously do anything but be reprimanded By me, From ME! WOW!  I was shell-shocked; and NO, I didn't make this up...It Came To Me!!!

So, Andali, Take HEED from the others who are telling you to Lighten Up on yourself and be KIND to yourself! I realized I had spent a lifetime caring for others, yet I was my own worst enemy...and never thought I'd admit to it (cuz I never thought it to be true!)
A fellow classmate quotes "Long is the battle for the warrior whose only battle is with himself"

My Next BIGGEST Lesson I learned in Gateway: from my instructors:
"Effortless Intent".....Period :!:
I think/know this was my biggest hurdle.
Thankfully also, I had printed out the Focus 10 and Focus Levels explained that MajorTom had so meticulously compiled at my request. (Big Thank You and Hug
I took these to Gateway; read and reread; gave them to my husband too to read.

Early on, I was able to "turn-off" my "active" visualization techniques I use daily from Silva Mind/Method. This allowed my mind to quiet down and let things flow freely. After day 1, I also learned that Most of my class did Not or could not visualize! (My hubby was one of them). I listened intently and encouraged discussion. After learning there are many other ways of experiencing (feelings, precognitions, sensing, hearing, etc) I started closing down my own visual abilities to try and hone other senses I have otherwise ignored.

Day 2-3 and 4 became VERY Quiet for me!!! I won't say that I did not 'experience' anything, but I kept the faith that this was meant for me. While others were having the time of their life on some wild rides at this amusement park, I felt I had been left behind in the kiddie park :(
But at least my husband too was feeling somewhat the same, as were others.
My trainers were able to spot those who seemed to be floundering, and would spend some private time with each of us and talk in-depth to find what was perhaps blocking our energies (if that were the case). And eventually, each of us had our day in the spotlight!

On the last day, once I finally somewhat gave in to defeat and just let things happen....(and still having a sore butt from that butt-chewing the day prior)
Once I did this, I FINALLY discovered the meaning of EFFORTLESS INTENT!
Right before our loooong session of Focus 21 Free Flow, I sat with MajorTom's "Focus 10 Explained". I reread the last 4 pages and it was as if I had Never read them before!  We had less than 5 mins to get into our "Chec" units, so I grabbed Tim (my hubby) and told him to reread the same pages.
And the point of this story, the 2 of us Finally had our turn to ride the biggest and best ride in the park! (I actually thought that everyone would have some sort of big experience, being the last session, but was surprised this was not the case at all). Anyway, I guess for us, the best was for last, and it certainly was well worth it.

This is just the beginning; but I learned so much. Patience and having faith that what we want to happen will indeed happen; if we Don't try to fight it nor force it to happen. Once you seemingly 'give-up', next thing you know, "IT" is sitting right there in your hand; or it just happens when you least expect it. Kinda like leading a horse to water;-)
Also, Be kind to yourself; like yourself and love yourself...it makes a HUGE difference once you begin the healing from deep inside :)

OK, I'll shut up now

Thanks again to all, in particular MajorTom for helping me make My Gateway a Huge Success!!!

Yes MajTom,
I did give myself the experiences, but when I knew I was having problems...I asked for guidance.
Part of that guidance for Answers laid in YOUR articles!!!
When I re-read those last pages, the light came on, bells and sirens rang.
I jumped into my CHEC unit , strapped in, held on tight for the ride of my life, 'cause dammit I'd been waiting in line for this ride the whole week and NOW it was MY Turn!!!
Weeeeeeeeeeeee!

(and yes, I know I am weird...but I Don't care!!!! this is TOOO Fun!)

anyway, thanks again; YOU do deserve it! (sent you and astral hug too 8)

I will post a funny exp later too,

ofp

PS: I tooted your horn, shared your article, and got some other explorers hooked onto this website!  :D

Thanks for thinking of me in this post oilfieldpilot.

I've wanted to do the gateway program but at the moment it's out of my reach so to speak.  I've looked into it and there are no outreach trainers in my country, Australia, and it costs a fortune anyway.

Thanks for your thoughts.  I'm working on it.

That's certainly true from what I've experienced before. I still don't understand it like I should, though. I want it to work at command, I guess I just don't understand effortless intent like I should.

Anyway, grats on the experience! Thanks for posting it, I've always wondered how the Monroe program is like. Sounds like fun.

So nicely put.... a wonderful sentiment...!
