I attempt out of body experiences all the time for the past year, but it only worked the first time I tried. With all my failure I no longer have any confidence in what im supposed to be doing while im attepting. I can quiet my mind and have no thoughts coming in, but I always have an awareness im lying in bed and I dont feel like its getting me anywhere.Do you sttempt Exit methods while you can still feel your concious body? I always feel that I cannot get away from my concious body no moatter what, and as I start to get deeper into relaxation I kind of lose focus of what im doing and bring awareness back to my mind. so what should I be thinking about while im lying there, I know im not going to fall asleep I can keep myself from doing that, but It seems like All I do is lay in my bed and get nowhere.

Please try and explan what you think about while your projecting, while you still feel yourself in your concious body.

I'm thinking about the target I want to jump / phase to, I am also speaking this (innerly) as affirmation then. The phasing destination is in almost all of the cases now my 'portal'. It does not work every time though, but quite often.

Next to THINKing it is also important what you FEEL. I have learnt to induce 'joy' and positive anticipation just at the moment of jumping (when I have vibrations, which I don't have always, but am in 'the state' anyway). Naturally, this kind of mindset helps to get positive experiences most of the times, too.
So I actually really smile or even laugh (innerly) just before I do the exit. This works very well for me. I don't think about exit techniques anymore, as just 'getting up from bed' most often works for me somehow. Sometimes I take the hand(s) of one of my helpers.

Hi,
You're not in deep enough to exit if you are aware of your physical.
Think of nothing in particular, if you are looking for signs of how am I doing then you are analytically thinking. Have a go at counting slowly and counting how many times you breathe for each 100 counts. This will remove your thoughts from the physical, when it becomes harder you may find yourself in deeper. Dont think of your physical at all or you will end up going backwards. Notice what you are aware of immediately near you. Ignoring any visualisation during the counting too you should feel a spacey openness as hopefully you are disconnected from the physical reality. This is the blackness you have read about. A stepping stone very close to the exit point. This should be your next step to achieve.
You may drift in and out of conciousness with this, it is a natural part of it even for those very experienced. Its the letting go bit you are attempting, total disconnection and should feel as if you are only in your head, a point source of existence.
This is one of many ways to get to the blackness and can be varied to suit your requirements.
Once you get here the rest is simple, have intent on where you want to go.
Safe travels.
There's far more where the eye can't see.
Close your eyes and open your mind.

I try to think of nothing.  If I can't do it I'm not close enough.  When I can, I know I'm there.
