How does this technique work? someone else mentioned it in another post so I am wondering how it works and how does it help you eventually project? also most important: how do you get your ears ringing in the first place to start trying to project?

Those who use this technique pls fill me in on why and how it works please and how you can get started hearing the ringing for yourself to eventually get into the astral.

thx all.

Your ears ring at all time you just have to listen when your room is quiet-example put your fingers in your ears and you will hear that ringing  :-) as for how it helps you project, there are people that can explain it better than me
Who am I is not important...My message is...

Maybe they had slight Tinitus... which gives rise to a constant ringing in the ear/s.

I wouldn't advise it but if you want actual ringing in your ears blow up an empty bag of potatoe chips and burst it next to your ear. This will give you a lasting ringing in the ear. Or listen to very loud music on head-phones. Don't do either really or it may result in permanent inner ear damage.

I think that the noise that you are talking about is the ambient background 'hiss'. When you stick your fingers in your ears you will hear this 'hiss' and a rumbling noise... the rumbling is actually the noise of your finger and hand muscles vibrating as they tense... as an experiment, put your index fingers in your ears and with them there clench the rest of your fingers or firmly pinch your thimb and middle finger together. You will hear a rise in rumbling... this is because you are engaging more muscles. You are hearing what your body becomes aware of during SP... The vibrations. Tiny electrical impulses traveling between neurons... cause the muscles to tense in a pulsating manner... but at a very high frequency. During SP this frequency slows down (depolarization) and you become aware of the pulsations of 'on -off' signals between muscle neurons.

So...

When you are lying down trying to induce in a quiet room you will naturally hear a gentle hiss. This is a combination of tinnitus, caused by general living and daily sound bombardment and hearing the inside of your head as blood courses through veins arteries and capillaries.

You should turn your attention to listening to what you hear internally... in your mind. I think this may be the premise of Phasing... not sure. All attention is geared towards a task of taking your attention away from your physical body and the world surrounding it.

Anyway.. rather than babbling about what it is..

I create my own internal dialogue. Sometimes I advise people to think of their name because it is the most familiar sound to them. To repeat it until heard in the head. It can be a song... a sentence. I usually find that the babble takes on a life of it's own. When this happens it is accompanied by little intermittent bursts of rumbling (this is the middle ear going into spasm). I know at this point that I'm ready to do the offs.
