Ever been "attacked"(?) while astral projecting?

I have some interesting books of Waldo Vieira, but the workshops of IAC offices around the world are what's really worth (especially if you can get a veteran projector as your teacher). I say this because in terms of projection techniques you already know everything from the web, no need to buy his books. However what's worth in IAC press is that they have built a very coherent and structured scientific system for studying all consciousness related phenomena, and a very sound existential view of the human being and his evolution. Giving some examples:

Waldo Vieira invented the PENTA task: The Personal Energetic Task, where each day always at the same time for the rest of your life, your helpers (non-physical human beings) come near your body to help you practice energetic work. At the same time you can give energies to beings in need who are sometimes brought by your helpers.

Waldo also invented the concept of the Mini-Piece in a Maxi-Mechanism. When you start projecting more often you become part of a 'helping others program' directed by very evold beings. So you are a mini-piece in a very big helping scheme. You project and somewhat are guided to go rescue or help some other astral being, many times stuck in dense regions of the astral, etc...

Waldo also proposes that we should constantly be in an assistential posture, that is you should always be alert to your environment looking for beings (physical or not) in need of energies, then by the techniques you exteriorizing energies to can donate some.

He also clarified the concept of Serenissimus.... and the post could go forever...

You can check what books they have at the link Publications at www.iac.org, but going to classes is what is really worth.
For it is in giving that we receive.
It is in pardoning that we are pardoned.
It is in dying that we are born to eternal life.

I have seen the dark cloud/ink thing twice. Once, when I was out of body (it was on my bed, sort of "watching" me) I thought it represented my body though.. mainly because I did not see my actualy body on the bed... The second time was when I was in class. It hovered over some guys head for about a second and then vanished as soon as I realized what I was seeing.

Quote from: MiddleWayHas anyone else had a similar experience with either weird dark clouds or schools of tiny sparkles swimming around them?"

I'm new here and have only told 2 people in person about an experience I had about a year ago (mostly because I knew they wouldn't think I was crazy upon telling them).  I was reading a book about Edgar Cayce and it gave some general instructions on meditation.  Unfortunately, it seems they were for astral projection (I can elaborate more if asked).  Anyway, I was in this state letting my mind wander from place to place around my room, apartment, etc. when this one night I felt like someone had thrown a blanket over my mind and body full of broken glass and rolled me up into it.  It was an intense feeling of darkness and pain both physically and mentally.  I tried to will this pain away as I brought myself out of the state I was in.  I never tried it again out of fear of that experience, although prior to that I had enjoyed each experience (I projected for about a month) before that.

A couple months later I was asleep when I woke up suddenly and rolled over and I saw this form of a dark face with a twisted smile "fall" through my pillows and disappear.  I was a bit frightened from it initially but I just shrugged it off as me coming out of the dream state.  I've never seen the face or anything like it since.

I read in a few other threads about seeing flashes of shadows out of the corners of your eyes and I see this all the time.  In the winter of '03-'04 when I would be, apparently, projecting I saw these wisps of fleeting shadows all the time in my daily routines like being at work, using the computer, etc.  Lately, I don't see them often but it seems like I seem them more in the winter months.  I guess I've just attributed them to seasonal depression or something.

Like I said, I'm new to all of this, so if I am using the wrong terminology or would like to know more I'd be glad to try to remember.

What you described exactly relates to a real life experience my spiritual friend had.  The same mist type thingy, except hers was crimson/bloody red.    Except she got thrown 10 feet across the room... and another time choked.. but ya.  In my opinion, bad bad bad, be careful.
