Mastery TV ..a path to the masses

Id like to see a  tv channel  devoted entirely  to the exploration, research and  communication of all  things which this site deals in.

The Best channels  are the discovery channels (imformative, apart, educational etc) ,if the kind of thing  which it  shows  were broadcasted all the time it would have a significant impact on the lifes of couch potatoes, whose main stimulus is the tv..

Say we got rid of soap operas, game shows, reality tv..etc  and  bombarded the airwaves with documenteries about other cultures, animals,philosopical debates, science programs, metaphysics and the like, imagine how it would change the average couch potato.

Showing the kind of programs  which emphasise the beauty of life and the pursuit of knowledge  would be a more constructive use  for tv.

instead of mindless soap operas being the topic of discussion, it would be people exchainging ideas with  different people,  people who with the constructive use of tv have developed a mind of there own and constructed there own set of ideals and beleifs based on the pure education and relevant knowledge  being communicated by tv.

This i think is what transducer means--  i think people  have interpreted it in a "BE SAVED" kinda channel,  but he may mean  just pure, unbias, relevant education for people who need it, and a planet which is ready  for it.

Psychic and ESP phenomena is growing,  this will eventually  overthrow the skeptisism which science has in spirituality and become a branch of science itself.

it may or may not  be lies, i dunno- id kinda like to see a series  of what you intend  to show on the channel, or a scheduel or something like that.

it sounds to me like a discovery  channel  kinda thing  devoted  to the evolution of consciousness through New-age  and eastern tecniques.
Id LOVE to see more  documentaries about astral projection, it would make tv worthwhile.

I'd love to get the important stuff on T.v. as well . Instead of Britney Spears & how she's dealing with her breakup. How about whats going on
that we suddenly have negs running around everywhere. How people are dealing with that & where did this all come from. In the 80's , I never heard the word Psychic attack. Why are we over run with these creatures .

I think it has to do with all the books on Black Magic in the bookstores.
I watched as my Astrology book shelves started becoming dominated with books on Black Magic & Voo Doo. I like to keep up with the latest astrology books & they were slowly pushed aside by books on Tarot cards,
then came the Black Magic books & Chaos magic books, voo doo kits ect.
Trying to find a trend here. The root of the problem? Inexperienced Black magicians creating stuff ??

I too enjoy watching the Discovery channels, but some other networks which have this kind of programing are; Bravo, Trio, World Link TV, History and History International, Science, and Independent Film Channel. I get all the above on a satellite tv system through the "Direct TV" company.

I'm also in agreement when you said;

I am familiar with Robert Bruce's early work, I am a close follower of the work of Charles Tart, I'm a member of IANDS, and a long time subscriber to the Journal of Near Death Studies. These are all mechanisms which connect spirituality with science.

As a mechanism that provides "..a path to the masses" Mastery TV sends its signal through the internet, and promises to give you a little money for referring subscribers. To answer your question about black magic, you are partially right. I believe the reason for this is because teenage girls go through the Wicca fad and other similar fads. That is, they don't join for the religion, they join for the magic. It's a misconception and preconceived notion that our society seems to have about it. When you take something sacred and precious and make it into a fad and slap your company's label all over it, etc., bad things can happen. People will do anything to make a buck. You are a member of an esoteric group or you practice esoteric things, and suddenly EVERYONE'S doing it because they've run out of creative ideas and sucked the meaning out of everything else. It becomes the 'thing to do.' What they don't realize is how much they are disrespecting the individuals who are developing the very thing they are selling, and they also don't realize that they aren't respecting the thing they're selling. They are doing everyone an injustice by taking something sacred and making it secular and mainstream. All for a profit.

Well to some extent we do .....live in an American society that worships the money god of the golden calf! The cathedral of this god is called the shopping mall. Where young people buy the latest shiney or 'in' thing, their bodies adorned by the latest icon of 'must have' objects. A nation of sheep??? perhaps....lead by the priests of advertising and motivatied by greed, quests for superiority, status, and power over others.

Education and spirituality make available the hard struggle of an alternative path. Yet when one has made a portion of that journey, and feels the urge to communicate it to others, one is indeed challenged by the problem of HOW to get the message out.

A major risk in getting the message out is that "...they are doing everyone an injustice by taking something sacred and making it secular and mainstream." as  EnderWiggin sucinctly stated the problem.

Ah, I've just had a thought. If/when it becomes mainstream and the "thing to do," that's when we, the REAL people, come out and tell them they're doing it all wrong. It is at this point that we will have the most influence. So I suggest we prepare for it.
