How did you "detect" these strange radiations?

My first thought is that humans have an intrinsic fear of the unknown.  Space is unknown.  Therefore most humans are afraid of what could be in space.

I don't think it's due to radiation:)  Mayyyyybe some form of hypnosis, but not radiation.

Hmm.  That page looks like something of a sham.  If you click on any of the fears, you'll get a nice long essay.  If you click on another fear, you'll get the exact same essay, except one word has changed (the fear).  It seems to follow the same format that most internet sham sites do, and that is give you a freakin long essay filled with psychobabble that rants about their product.  Sara Freder does it, I've seen a few "Get any woman you want" sites do it, this site obviously does it, ect.  I wonder why they do this... it's not as if it's not noticeable : )

Well, not really.  My two phobias, fear of the supernatural evil and fear of spiders I already know how they work.  My fear of spiders also went down considerably after I worked ~70 hours in the yard over a months period [B)].  Not much I can do about the other one, except astral project and work it out the first time I run into something scary : )

Haha, go figure.  It is a fairly common fear tho, I'm not sure why.  I'm not scared stiff of them anymore (i.e. I see one a foot away and I run away screaming.  However, if I see one in my house, I have to kill it right then and there.  I have a little war going on with the spiders in my house (currently I think they are all whiped out though... hehe).

As for radiation causing this fear, I doubt it.  I think I'd be more likely to get cancer than develop a fear of the supernatural.

Can you explain a little bit more about how you detected this radiation? (directed at the original poster)

Operation Bright Beam is now over. The mission was accomplished.

Thank you to those who attempted to help. This was a very difficult, and a very dangerous mission.

The source was discovered to be hostile to Earth. With the completion of Operation Bright Beam, the Round Table was disbanded.

In a separate operation, not open to volunteers, the source was destroyed.

There is a chance that there will be retaliation from the hostile entities. If a UFO lands on the White House lawn in the next few months, it will be good to be suspicious. Of course, there will be no fear influence anymore, and thus humans will be able to react with courage.

Full planetary defenses are near full operational capacity. We are capable of defending ourselves even now.

This is a message to announce Operation Bright Beam. Everyone is welcome to join. This is a non-offensive mission designed to find and learn about a curious anomaly.

I have recently detected some strange emissions in the astral space. These radiations create the emotion of fear in their targets. The radiations have the specific effect of promoting fear of what is beyond this planet. It extends to everything from asteroids to comets to black holes to little green aliens. This fear is not based on rationality. It is something that has to be artificially created in people. Maybe the purpose is an evil one, but on the other hand maybe the purpose is benevolent.

The goal of Operation Bright Beam is to shine a light on these radiations of fear. Where are they coming from? Who is sending them? Who is the target? What is their purpose? Are they benign (good) or not (bad)?

If you want to help, and if you find a moment, try to seek out answers to those questions or related questions. Then please post here. If your findings differ from others, that is OK! We are trying to get to the truth here.

There is no other commitment to make. This is a one-time mission only.

I stress that this is a non-offensive mission. If we find something bad or evil, we do not just attack it.
