Uh you do realize that "string theory" is just way of trying to explain particles in a way that unifies relativity and quantum mechanics? The "dimensions" you are refering to are just mathematical constructs that happen to correlate well with what we do know. It's just like a "matrix" in computer programming... it can have as many "dimensions" as you want though after 3 most people have problems visualizing it ... but there is  no problems in processing it.

Funny, from the title I thought this discussion would be about some guy with  multi-dimensional testicles.

Buaha think I missed the whole point then [:D]

I still have the itchy feeling that the unification will not be done by string theory. But we shall see
If we compare us to infinitely small,
that will make us infinitely big,
but if we compare
ourselves to infinitely
big, it will make us infinitely small.
What is our size again?

Mystic Cloud,
I don't think that our inability to visualize more than three dimensions has anything to do with how many dimensions exist in reality.  Our consciousness is only a small part of the total cosmos, which could easily have infinite dimensions beyond our four (space + time) without us realizing it.

The point in my post was to POINT OUT that scientists too often use
too hasty theories to explain things.

For example the usual cliché that "The higher dimensions are curled up so into very very small space", which should be explaining why we can't perceive the other dimensions.
If we compare us to infinitely small,
that will make us infinitely big,

ourselves to infinitely

Why are they even 'building' up a 10-11 dimensional theory of 'everything'. Are they too stupid to see the real facts of reality???

Spatial 4D can still be imagined by some very very few persons in
this world. 5Th and above I would say is pretty impossible for
us who live in this 3D world.

So how in the hell do you build a 10-11 dimensional theory of everything when you can only grasp 4D and very few shadows of the 5Th?
Of course it is all mathematically possible to calculate with N-dimensions but the problem starts when you try to put them into a framework of this reality.

Another of the most stupidest things the scientists has said is that
the extra dimensions are CURLED UP in smaller places than the atoms.
WHAT UTTER PURE BULLS**T. Their only speculation is that this is why we don't see them. Which is also a wrong speculation.

Imagine being a 2D guy in Flatland(we all know this story right? ;) ).
Anyway let us take this a bit further. Imagine our world being on
a regular chain of circles. Then we take our chain and bend it into 3D space like a sheet of paper just bent in half. Now we can start to
do anything with the chain in our 3D world and _NOTHING_ will go through the 2D guys Flatland world. Everything will be completely normal for him even if we make knots of the chain or tinkle on it.

Now let us take this one step further. We are in this 3D world which
is a building block for the 4D world and is just as solid in the 4D object as the chain. So we can make changes in 4D world and make things rotate and maybe flip the places of 2x 3D worlds and we still do not notice a difference.

Though now an alarm bell sounds in my head, because something tells me that in the higher dimensions (5th and above) there are impossible intersections.

ourselves to infinitely
