I recently started using runes and reading more and more about the Norse religion. I was wondering if anyone else here has any experience with these gods or the use of runes. THe funny thing is even when I was young say around 9 or 10, I was very drawn to Runes and I even tried to use wood from my dresser to curve runes on lol.

Can anybody explain what runes are and the purpose of them?

the idea is each symbol has a reservoir of energy attached to it, and you can use that energy for tasks by using the runes

Yeah I went to a pagan type forum with a subforum for people interested in the Norse religion and registered, but a few of them told me AP was "not there thing" how disappointing :/. So I think I'll stick to this forum more often.

Runes are the Norse alphabet. If you're looking for magic look to Harry Potter.
