That's very good.  Is the opening quote from the Tao Te Ching? It sounds very Tao.

Yes, the opening line is from the taoteching.
It's from  my book 'the word of love' which I linked below in my signature.
The book compares poetically the tao and the life of Jesus with emphasis on the principles of selflessness, service and unconditional love.

I'm gonna have to check that out. I grew up in a christian family, but became interested in Taoism as I got older. I've always noticed many similarites between the teachings of Jesus and the Tao Te Ching.

A theory I've thrown around:
Tao "The Path" = God's Will = Karma & Higher-Self
