In Robert Bruce's interview on the Art Bell show he said that the best way for people who can't stay in their body to solve the problem is to learn to project consciously at will. He said that he often has people asking about this.

I'm one of those people who is still struggling to learn to go out. It always helps to have it confirmed that this is for real. I began trying in 1989.

You can download (probably still) the interview in the forum about His interview.

Hello!  I must say it's so rewarding to get a response! Thank you.  Since I posted my question I found Mr. Bruce's Treatise and there is one page where he talks about unwanted projections.  I'm doing all the things that trigger unwanted projections:  I'm sleeping flat on my back, I'm sleep deprived in general, and I often go to bed hungry.  OOPS.  Of course, now I wonder if the frustrated might want to use that information to their advantage :-)

Anyway, I think I've jinxed myself.  Now when it starts to happen (nearly every night this week) I think OH GOODIE I'M GOING TO HAVE AN OOBE!!!! And then it all goes away.  Drat.  I'll have to learn to get "frosty."

Warm regards to all,
tisha

Greetings Tisha!

Welcome to the forums http://www.astralpulse.com/forums/images/icon_Smile.gif" border=0>

You might indeed be considered fortunate to OBE with such regularity and ease - many people here - at least 50% are still trying for their first OBE - you can see the current results on the survey we are doing here:

http://www.astralpulse.com/forums/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=675&pollresults=1

You will have realised by now that OBE is a much more common occurence than most people would think - indeed many dismiss it completely. Here at the Astral Pulse you can discuss the entire area of OBE, the Astral etc. with people who have been pursuing Astral exploration for many years.

I would suggest that you consider yourself fortunate to be presented with this OBE ability, and to learn as much as you can from your experiences.

I can relate to the single parent situation - I am a full time single father with three sons aged 11, 10 and 9 years old, and also have alot to cram into each day including running The Astral Pulse. Terms like "chronic fatigue" and "total exhaustion" I can relate to http://www.astralpulse.com/forums/images/icon_Smile.gif" border=0>

With best regards,

Adrian.

Thank you!  It is a blessing to have found this website.  I am off to bed now, for a sound sleep, with a full belly.

Hello Tisha,

You should feel blessed...
I too went through the same thing at the age of 12. Just out of nowhere I started waking up seperated and paralyzed. The first week of this, it happened 4 nights in a row. I always fought it by lifting my shoulders, I could never relax, due to the fright. It took 3 years to finally find out what it was.

But it changed my life, to experience what it's like removed from the physical.
25 years later, I still have spontaneous projections. But I'm further away from my body and don't get the paralyzation effect anymore. It's getting harder to do it consciously now, I think due to stress.

So enjoy it !!  It's wonderful and exciting...

Hello everybody, I'm new!

I've been having "involuntary" OOBEs, for about three years.
For instance, I'll be long-gone from my body, and my conscious mind will wake up, terrified from  the paralysis.  OR, as happens 99% of the time, I'll be dragged kicking and screaming into the "Zone."  (figuratively speaking, since I can't move).

All these years, I had no idea I was having OBEs.  I just called it "going into the Zone."  I never actually WENT anywhere (that I was aware of), just felt the uncomfortable effects of the exit or completely panicked when I became lucid.

However, the last time it happened, I just relaxed into it and WHOOP!  there I went.  Didn't get far, just to my front door.  That was last week, and now I've found you.  Sinchronicity?

Anyway, here's my question.  Who all out there has "involuntary"  (or at least unexpected) OOBEs?  How do you deal with it, if you're too paralyzed to even wiggle a toe?   I'm a single parent with a full-time job and often suffer from chronic fatigue.  There are many nights when I just want to SLEEP!

If I deliberately OOBE during the day can I "get it out of my system" and get some sleep at night?  Or does it happen more often, the more you do it?

As you see, I don't have the choice NOT to do it.  I've accepted the fact that I'll just have to manage the episodes.  Any advice, anyone?

Tisha

PS:  (My heart goes out to everyone out there who is trying so HARD!  Let me reassure you that this IS real, and if you can get that deep relaxation thing down it WILL work someday if you really want it to)
